Please correct your text referring to "Afghan men". The article describes most of the suspects as being recently arrived from Algeria or Morocco. The BBC previously reported similar information. It is worth noting Algerians and Morrocans are NOT eligible for refugee status.

These attacks were used as arguments against sheltering true war refugees from Syria. I have not read about any true Syrian or Afghan refugees being charged with these types of crimes.

Meanwhile, let's welcome 25 year old men pretending to be 16 so they can game the system. Angela Merkel and her "Welcome!" has created a clusterfuck; in the meantime, women and children and men languish in the camps.

The media hasn't been reporting all the problems for fear of whipping up xenophobia, but the truth will out and people are ANGRY, now.

I've listened to programs on BBC about the conditions women and children are enduring in the refugee camps, and it makes my blood boil that so many young men from so many countries are allowed in while these families are languishing.

Many of the officials know that a lot of these "refugees" aren't minors, but they seem determined to take them at their word so as not to ruffle any feathers. One sixteen year old was determined to be twenty-nine years old! I believe one country has even started using x-rays to determine ages, since those claiming to be minors get special consideration - not to mention more benefits. Apparently, the migrants from Afghanistan and Pakistan are especially savvy about this.

in Europe, and people hear about them. And get very, very angry and distrustful.

Of course, many of these young men are misogynist assholes, and they know that the police will treat them with kid gloves. And it certainly doesn't help that traffickers promised them the moon - I've seen videos where these guys are talking about how they expected their own apartments and a nice income for food, clothes and luxury items instead of a bed in a refugee center. Many of them were promised the moon! So, they're already misogynists, aren't familiar with the customs and laws in their host country, and they act out because they're pissed at their situations. It's kind of human nature to be so disappointed, even if we think that they should be grateful for a warm bed and three squares.

I'm not making excuses for these assholes, but I do understand how the situation has been aggrevated by unrealistic expectations not of their own doing.
