Defense secretary discusses concerns in South China Sea

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) Defense Secretary Ashton Carter says China could be erecting "a great wall of self-isolation" with its increasingly provocative moves against its neighbors.
Carter focused on the Asia-Pacific region Friday in his commencement speech at the U.S. Naval Academy.
He says America's allies and partners are voicing concerns about China's activity, both publicly and privately, and at the highest levels.

Carter says the United States is committed to upholding core principles including freedom of navigation and commerce and peaceful resolution of disputes. He says China's actions "challenge fundamental principles, and we can't look the other way."

... there are how many world-wide corporations with manufacturing and supply contracts with the Communist Chinese? ...
... isolation in the American media propaganda machine, certainly, but the Communist Chinese are still getting profits from their loans and sales - the money for the loans that George W. Whatshisname made to cut the rich American oligarchs' taxes - TWICE ... oh, and the <i>actual taxpayers</i> pay that interest on those loans for the money to the rich ...
... what country of their size would be afraid of a country that is quickly making itself the laughingstock of the political world ...
... they're just looking at us as low hanging fruit ...
