Maduro calls 'rebellion,' tells OAS to 'shove it'

Source: AFP

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called for a "national rebellion" against alleged international threats Tuesday and told the head of the Organization of American States to "shove it" in an escalating war of words.

The verbal barrage came after OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro called for an urgent meeting on the Venezuelan crisis, warning democracy was at risk in the country.

In a 132-page letter to the president of the OAS Permanent Council, Almagro requested a meeting of the Washington-based organization's 34 member states from June 10 to 20.

"The institutional crisis in Venezuela demands immediate changes in the actions of the executive branch," Almagro wrote, adding that the socialist nation is "at risk of falling immediately into a situation of illegitimacy."

This started Loooooooong before Barack Obama came into office and is orchastrated by big oil and their owned politicians moreso than the president.

You're giving the president too much credit.....Corporate Money will always hold more power than the president of any nation.

10. Oldest charge by rightwingers when leftist Presidents are being torn apart by stinking rightwingers.

It has been used for decades, at least.

Democrats know the pattern when the right-wing is taking someone down. It ALWAYS smells the same. Anyone with average brain function can see, smell it a mile away, and would NEVER be fooled by lame, stupid charges.

The reason these leftist Presidents have problems is because their is an operation tearing them to shreds. Why don't we see it in the corporate "news" sources? Because we ALL know they always white wash it until dozens of years later, and the truth makes it back to daylight, to protect the politicians and their backers and their tools in the services who are making it happen.

You're not going to fool anyone.

I'm surprised anyone ever answers these silly posts. Every now and then one has to send up a shot just to tell the trolls they really aren't getting away with it.

11. So, whose side is the Army on in Venezuela?

That seems like the question at this point.

I don't suppose any outside powers would be stupid enough to consider conquering the place, so it should be up to the military to decide who wins.

If anybody wins.
