Former GOP gov: Clinton ‘more stable’ than Trump

Source: MSN/The Hill

Former New Jersey Gov. Christie Whitman (R) says Hillary Clinton worries her less than Donald Trump.

"She is more stable. Hillary Clinton's problems are within the non-normal normal that we're used to," Whitman said Friday on MSNBC.

"[It's] the way he's treated groups of people, demonizing them for their ethnic background," she said.

"The way he's taken on this judge in California is very outrageous and to me very scary for the future of the country," Whitman added, citing Judge Gonzalo Curiel's role in lawsuits against Trump.

What is sad, is that Christie Whitman is relatively rare among Republicans who are not going out of their way to embrace Donald Trump. I do not necessarily expect Republicans to vote for the Democratic nominee, but you would think that they would at least refuse to endorse him if not condemn or reject his racist and sexist views. Then again, maybe they just embrace that this what their base supports.

99% of the populace is more stable than Trump. As for Hillary's problems being non normal normal, what the hell does that mean?

Whitman will eventually board the Trump train. Repukes will have to perform mental contortions that twist their brains into pretzel shapes to rationalize voting for Trump, but they'll come around. They have their eyes on the WH prize, and, in the end, nothing else will matter.

Y'know, the EPA head who lied about air quality at "ground zero", where thousands of responders were made sick and many have died?

THAT Christie Whitman?

and sexist views"

That gets to the heart of it for me. Do these people (not condemning Trump) not have any self respect (rhetorical) ? Any sense of decency ? Ms Whitman is a voice in the wilderness but it is important that there are voices like hers, in the Republican Party, for when this all blows up. It was beginning to look like a cesspit of amoral hypocrites.

CEOs can't have someone batshit crazy at the helm stirring up international incidents and crashing the domestic economy. They may disagree with her on many issues, but Trump is a disaster and tney know it.

It's the same with anyone who's been in US government who has any honesty whatsoever.

I realize some of our own ideologues are so deep into their thing they cannot grasp this -- I knew there'd be people here who'd rise up to shoot the messenger, taking this as some kind of "proof" that Hillary is really a Republican etc etc. Sure enough, they're here in this thread.

I just want to know if they would rather lose a national election than accept votes from a segment of sane Republicans who realize a common enemy in Trump?

Saying someone is more stable than Trump isn't saying much. Most folks are more stable than that nut.
Setting the bar fairly low here.
