Germany says 'Russia is no longer our partner, but rival'

Source: Ukraine Today / Die Welt

Moscow blurs boundary between war and peace

The German government has updated the White Paper - the guidelines on the country's national security policy. The updated version states that Russia "is no longer Germany's partner, but its rival" and now is one of the main threats, according to Die Welt.

The White Paper was not amended since 2006. The new edition states that the world "changed a lot," everything became "complicated, volatile and unpredictable" in terms of security.

The document says that Russia "is ready to advance its interests by force," and refers to events in Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

The document also says that "Russia is turning away from the West, emphasizing the strategic rivalry and increasing its military activity on the EU external borders", the newspaper reports.

Really sad state of affairs. On the long road since WW2, and under the influence of the West, Germany has become one of the better governments for freedom and democracy on the planet. The reunification of Germany when East Germany was finally freed from Soviet Russian dictatorship went as smoothly as could be imagined. Russia, on the other hand, has stumbled along the road to freedom and, once again, become a dangerous basket case.

Germany, There are a few people alive who remember your mistakes. If you want war with Russia, an act three, there will be NO avt IV. If the Russians have to hire the Dutch to actually find a way to submerge a country, they will pay them, and many people all over will cheer them. Even the French and English may bring shovels for the effort.

a war with Russia they have simply updated a document that now lists Russia under Putin as a threat and thats all they have done.
If Russia wants Germany to amend this document they simply have to stop their war of conquest in the Ukraine and pull back to their bases on the Crimean Peninsula as per the agreement they had with the Ukraine.

8 would be Russia invading the Ukraine and China building artificial islands down in the Spratly Islands in an effort to claim the area which is complete bullshit as Malaysia, the Philippians and Vietnam actually have more legitimate claims to those islands than China.
