CAPE CORAL, Fla. Police shot and killed a man suspected of killing two others here Sunday.
The incident began when the suspect shot and killed a motorcyclist about 5:45 p.m. ET. Then, the suspect went to a Circle K gas station on Cape Coral Parkway and fatally shot one person and injured another.
Four minutes later, police stopped the suspect's car where the suspect resisted officers and was shot.
"It's shocking," said Sgt. Dana Coston, police spokesman, at a news conference.

(53,235 posts)Thanks whory legislatures. Thanks ammosexual Hollywood.
You know, if a movie's cover art has a gun on it, I won't see it. I automatically say to myself, "Another moron gun movie." There are A LOT of movies with guns on their cover art, so that is sending a message to our population.

Maybe we should dig some trenches?
Or is thinning the herd the real purpose?

(43,146 posts)I like people who can run with my tweets
But since you've fumbled the ball on a Monday
I'll cue you in ....
'ours' is law abiding citizens who obey laws and police who enforce them
'theirs' is the criminals who shoot people
so in this case one bad guy dead, but what was it, I don't have the article
in front of me, one other dead and 2 or 3 more wounded?
So it's attrition and more of us is incapacitated than them

(196 posts)1. If I'm trained and armed at least I would have had a chance to defend myself in that situation.
2. In a country with 300 million people this event is statistically insignificant.
3. This guy was an exception, an aberration, not a responsible gun owner.
4. I am personally in favor of more training and education about gun safety but I'll continue to pay my NRA dues and oh well.
5. It's a tragedy but an unavoidable cost to protect our freedom and the 2d Amendment.
