Donald Trump on Tuesday accused President Barack Obama of being angrier at him than at the gunman who perpetrated the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

"I watched President Obama today and he was more angry at me than he was at the shooter," Trump said, drawing boos from the crowd. "The level of anger, that's the kind of anger that he should have for the shooter and these killers that shouldn't be here."

Obama passionately excoriated Trump during a speech earlier in the day for demonizing Muslims and defying American values in his response to the terrorist attack in Orlando, calling Trump's mindset "dangerous."

Donald Trump has no self-awareness. He is incapable of understanding anything outside his own head. Of course, he believes he's the arbiter of class.

My fervent hope is that sometime in late September or early October, the polls will show Hillary Clinton expanding her lead and Mr. Trump will begin to panic. That's when he could explode. It'd be great if it happened on live TV maybe during a debate. That's when he'll know he's been licked.

Actually, the "class" thing is curious to me. I live in New York and have been to Trump Tower numerous times as well as a couple of his other buildings. I've also golfed at a couple of his courses and one thing always stands out: they're tacky. All the gold plating and garish lighting looks like a casino. The open spaces are loud and the air conditioning is too cold. And his damn name is everywhere. The golf courses are pretty good, though even in this case, Mr. Trump is obnoxious: on the teeing ground for a par-3, there's a bronze plaque bragging the Mr. Trump got a hole-in-one during the inaugural round. I'm not certain I believe him, he lies about everything else, but what a cockalorum! (I love the thesaurus!)
