KEARNEY, Neb. Democrats in Nebraska are hoping a younger, more environmentally focused activist can lead them out of the electoral wilderness.
Jane Kleeb, a leader in the fight against the Keystone XL pipeline, was elected chairwoman of the state Democratic Party on Saturday with the help of Bernie Sanders supporters.
Kleeb, 43, vowed to work with both the Sanders and the Hillary Clinton wings of the party to put more Democrats into office in Nebraska.
She has her work cut out for her. Republicans control four of the states five federal offices and all five of the states constitutional offices.

Jane is a well known commentator from time to time. She has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, NBC, etc. She has also been on several liberal talk radio shows over the years like Ed Schultz and Thom Hartmann.
She was the leader of the fight against the Keystone XL pipeline.
Her husband Scott ran for US Senate in 08.
