Corey Lewandowski to join CNN

Source: Politico

Former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is joining CNN as a political commentator, according to a source familiar with the arrangement.

It's a salaried position and will make Lewandowski exclusive to CNN, effective immediately.

Trump fired Lewandowski on Monday, ending the tenure of the fiery operative who faced a steady string of controversies while guiding Trump's skeleton campaign operation to a shocking victory in the 2016 Republican presidential primary. That same afternoon, his first in-studio interview was with CNN's Dana Bash (an NBC News reporter caught up with him outside of Lewandowski's apartment as he headed down to the studio).

Following his interview with Bash on Monday, Lewandowski went straight from the set and into a long meeting in the office of CNN executive Barbara Levin, Vice President of Communications for CNN, according to a source who witnessed Lewandowski enter the meeting.

You're only supposed to rise to the level of your incompetence. Lewandowski seems to exceed his incompetence with regularity.

Major media in this country will never see the days of Walter Cronkite or Edward R Murrow again. It's just another form of entertainment now.

Use the word "pivot" and "optics" and you will do fine. If I was a drinking man I would play a drinking game in which you could go from corporate media to corporate media channel political commentary and every time you hear someone say either of these words, you drink. You would be wasted in a half hour.

Corey: Well all the decisions were made in flippantly in the middle of the night. We openly incited the lowest of the low. I assaulted a journalist. We relied heavily on phone-in interviews that you agreed to. We didn't raise money or create an actual came sign. And then I got fired by the boss's kids.

Wolf: Thank you for those insights. Now tell us what should the voters find most compelling about Donald Trump?

I wouldn't doubt if he put in his resignation months ago after he negotiated his contract with CNN & him falling on his sword to make it seem like he was fired was just for show to benefit his ex-boss to make him seem like he has a firm control over his campaign and is a strong and prudent leader -- and now he can spew as much pro-trump lies as possible with his new pulpit.

All of these MSM channels are disgusting.
