Charges: Utah head of militia tried to detonate bomb at BLM facility in Arizona

Source: The Salt Lake Tribune

Federal prosecutors say a Tooele County man placed a pipe bomb against the door of a BLM cabin and pushed the button on a remote detonator multiple times, with no result.

His mistake? He'd unwittingly assigned an undercover FBI agent to build the bomb.

William Keebler, 57, of Stockton, was arrested early Wednesday morning in Nephi and appeared Thursday in U.S. District Court, charged by federal prosecutors with attempting to blow up federal property at an Arizona Strip BLM facility that he had allegedly scouted with Robert LaVoy Finicum.

Republican ISIS.

Right-wing militant charged for planting a bomb at BLM building
A federal felony complaint reveals that the feds are continuing to investigate extremism on public lands.
Tay Wiles June 23, 2016

On the night of June 21, members of the Patriots Defense Force militia allegedly planted a bomb at a Bureau of Land Management cabin in Mount Trumbull, in northwest Arizona, with the intention of blowing the building apart. A Utah man, William Keebler, who leads the group, apparently orchestrated the failed attack in response to what he views as federal government overreach and the mismanagement of natural resources. .....

Court documents state that Keebler intended to blow up government vehicles and buildings, not people, though he also wanted to create a second bomb that might be “used against law enforcement if they got stopped while driving.” Keebler had also considered bombing a BLM office near the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City, but decided on the more remote Arizona location instead. The Mount Trumbull facility is near the grazing allotment of LaVoy Finicum, the activist who was shot and killed by the FBI in a confrontation at the end of the armed occupation of Oregon’s Malheur National Wildlife Refuge earlier this year. Keebler knew Finicum and scouted the location of the bomb attack with him last year.

Keebler trained the undercover agents in target shooting and military and survival skills, in preparation for an “anti-government action.” ..............

The Great Public Land Heist Has Begun
House bill to sell national forests passes committee
By: Wes Siler Jun 22, 2016

Without demonstrable public will and with strong opposition from environmentalists, hunters, anglers, the Department of the Interior, and the outdoor recreation industry, among others, Republican lawmakers are attempting to transfer control of your public lands from federal to state governments in a thinly-veiled attempt to force their sale for purposes of resource exploitation. Now, the first blow has been struck.

Last week, the House committee on Natural Resources voted to adopt HR 3650, the summary of which reads:

“This bill directs the Department of Agriculture, through the Forest Service, to convey to a state up to 2 million acres of eligible portions of the National Forest System (NFS) in it that it elects to acquire through enactment by the state legislature of a bill meeting certain criteria. Portions of the NFS conveyed to a state shall be administered and managed primarily for timber production.”

It’s hard to discuss this issue without appearing partisan. While opposition to the land heist is bipartisan, support for it comes exclusively from Republican lawmakers, and the corporations which fund them. ...........

for Monument Valley, up to about Bluff.

It would mess up Four Corners, but I can live with that.

Well, it really does figure, doesn't it?

Hope this doesn't push him over the edge and encourage him to start killing people sooner than he had planned.

We have to wonder why our corporate "news" media won't consider calling these pieces of filth "terrorists,"
considering they do the same things terrorists do. Apparently the powers that be have decided that "terrorists" aren't white, and if they are, they are never right-wingers, anyway.

By definition, "the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes."

So, this should be called Republican terrorism.

That must be why they need the "Radical Islamic Terrorism" talking point, because they are in favor of their own terrorism.
