Britain’s EU Commissioner Lord Hill calls its quits after Brexit vote

Jonathan Hill, Britains most senior official in Brussels, has resigned from his position, citing his disappointment in Thursdays vote to leave the EU.
Lord Hill has been a defender of the UKs financial services industry in Brussels, since his appointment as Britains European Commissioner by David Cameron.
The 55-year-old expressed that he was disappointed in the outcome of the June 23 vote, which saw nearly 52pc of voters opt to withdraw from the EU. His resignation had been widely expected.
Lord Hill said: I dont believe it is right that I should carry on as the British Commissioner as though nothing had happened.
