Hillary Clinton ad uses 'Brexit' to slam 'volatile' Trump

Source: NBC

Jun 26th 2016 8:57AM

Hillary Clinton's campaign is out with a new ad slamming Donald Trump's response to Britain's historic vote to leave the European Union.

"Every president is tested by world events, but Donald Trump thinks about how his golf resort can profit from them," intones the 30-second ad released Sunday while showing coverage of Friday's vote and the reaction in world markets. "In a volatile world, the last thing we need is a volatile president."

The ad entitled "Tested" fits into a narrative the Clinton campaign is pushing on how Trump is a craven businessman in politics only for himself.
......................

The ad also shows a clip of Trump in Scotland saying the fall of the British currency could mean more people visit his golf resort there.

"When the pound is down, people come to Turnberry," Trump said Friday, referring to his Scottish golf resort..............

..............The new ad will air nationally on cable starting this week. Clinton's campaign also released a video Friday mocking Trump's comments about his golf course in Scotland following the Brexit vote.

Closer to November, the really good stuff will come out in commercials and mainly the debates.

Hell, she could almost fire her research crew. Googling the Trumpster provides all the quotes you need. Cut and paste them into an ad and there you go.

so says Trump. And its all Obama's fault anyway:

Aberdeen journal: Mr. Trump, who won’t be taking questions, spends the afternoon talking to reporters anyway, 6/25/16
https://www.yahoo.com/news/aberdeen-journal-mr-trump-won-000000095.html?nhp=1

Asked about the turmoil it has caused in the global financial markets, Trump replied that it was “too bad” but downplayed the role the so-called Brexit decision had played in riling the American stock market. He suggested there were larger factors involved. “A lot of bad decisions, a lot of bad things happening in this world,” Trump said.

Repeatedly pressed on what he would say to Americans worried about their retirement accounts, Trump straightened his white “Make America Great Again” hat, which had come loose atop his head. “Americans are very much different. This shouldn’t even affect them,” he replied.

... And soon the rambling gaggle continued, as reporters pressed Trump on what he meant when he said Americans shouldn’t be affected by the Brexit decision. “Ideally, it shouldn’t,” the Republican hopeful said.

...Although he might not think the British vote to leave the European Union should affect the United States, a reporter told him, the country’s financial markets were taking a hit {1}. “Nobody knows that,” Trump interjected. Echoing comments he made Friday, he trashed Obama for “getting involved” in the vote.

From the text above, Trump doesn't sound volatile. He sounds aloof,
uncaring, focused on himself only.

...has 16 opponents all believed the same shit he was saying. Their attacks went along the lines of "he isn't a real conservative" or "his messaging isn't effective". Its a little difficult for Cruz or Rubio to attack Trump on being a racist asshole or for wanting to establish a police state in the name of "fighting terrorism" when they believed the exact same thing.

That is why all of the talk about the republicans spending hundreds of millions to defeat trump didn't work and it won't work for the dems either, was always bullshit. His entire campaign was built like a very flimsy house of cards. They republicans were just way too afraid to knock it over because it would destroy them in the process. Clinton and the dems on the other hand.....

This is something that Trump's team still doesn't understand. A presidential campaign has to have a robust communications and rapid response department. See how it takes Clinton and the dems can turn out a quality ad in a matter of hours and have it on the air in less than 1 day? Or that surrogates can be out en mass to defend clinton and attack trump? At the Trump campaign, most attacks go unanswered and those that they do respond to takes days or weeks, and usually its just a slapped together, rambling speech or a flood of poorly written twitter rants.

Its like trying to fight against a modern military with flintlock pistols and muskets. Trump is massively outgunned at every level of the campaign. People will study his campaign for years as a perfect example of what not to do when trying to win the presidency.
