Pence: Trump plan will stop others feeling Khans’ ’enduring heartbreak’

Source: The Hill

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence defended his running mate in a statement Sunday night, blaming President Obama and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for the “disastrous decisions” that led to the death of Capt. Humayun Khan in Iraq.

Pence said both he and GOP nominee Donald Trump believe Khan “is an American hero and his family, like all Gold Star families, should be cherished by every American."

Pence’s statement aimed to move forward from Sunday’s criticism of Trump that came from all sides.

“Captain Khan gave his life to defend our country in the global war on terror. Due to the disastrous decisions of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, a once stable Middle East has now been overrun by ISIS. This must not stand,” Pence said. “By suspending immigration from countries that have been compromised by terrorism, rebuilding our military, defeating ISIS at its source and projecting strength on the global stage, we will reduce the likelihood that other American families will face the enduring heartbreak of the Khan family.”

Do they want to remind people of the last Republican president, the one who caused all of these American deaths and allowed ISIS to take hold?

8. The media has responsibility to call Pence on this. Iraq was a Bush-Republican War in 2004

...of course it is still a Bush-Cheney-Republican clusterfuck today, although the Dems have inheirited it.

What a mistake not to pursue war crimes against the Republican Torture Freaks who brought this vast stinking mess to America.

Because this is par for the course for Trump, but linking Obama and Hillary Clinton to Khan's death is just going even further to the bottom.

"Due to the disastrous decisions of..." Stop, Bush was President when Khan was killed, and he scoffed at the idea of insurgents, he even said "Bring 'em on."
