Source: Politico
I cannot emphasize enough how deeply I disagree with Mr. Trumps statement. I hope Americans understand that the remarks do not represent the views of our Republican Party, its officers, or candidates.

(24,703 posts)that's his problem and it is very big problem, about his principles and his character, and yes they do reflect your party, you and your party have been doing this "stuff" for over 40 years, and you have wrapped yourself around the flag and said really nasty things about people that don't follow your agenda.
He is more worried about his re-election bid and he is more worried about implementing the republican agenda and about his loyalty to his right wing republican party.
There right wing leadership have a double standard and they should apologize, they are trying to have it both ways.

(2,199 posts)Although I disagree with almost everything you represent as a Republican, I completely support your military service and stand beside you as a fellow combat veteran. I retired after 38 years of service, luckily for me I was never captured, tortured or interrogated as you were at the hands for the Vietnamese. For that suffering and your service I salute you sir. Thank you.
Unfortunately your party has chosen a despicable human being to be the leader of the GOP. You and the rest of the GOP must reel in your candidate. He will attempt to destroy you with his petty grievances and his lack of empathy is unbelievable. Your party will be destroyed by his outrageous stupidity, his ignorance, his bigotry, his xenophobia and his religious intolerance. I pity you and your party Senator McCain, but you guys got what you wished for. Now he is yours and although I greatly admire your sacrifice, your service and your devotion to the USA, I don't feel to badly for the GOP. I feel sad for our country.
