Young boy to Pence: Are you Trump's apologist?

Source: Politico

At a North Carolina town hall Thursday, among the toughest questions Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence faced came from an 11-year-old boy.

“I’ve noticed you’ve been softening up on Trump’s words and policies. Is this going to be your role in the administration?” the boy asked Pence as the crowd erupted in laughter

“What I’ve learned, Matthew, and you’ll learn it when you’re governor of North Carolina … Sometimes things don’t come out the way that you mean them,” Pence said. “I couldn’t be more proud to stand with Donald Trump,” Pence added.

Trump has dealt with an array of controversies over the past week, including a public feud with the parents of a deceases U.S. solider and a flap over his refusal to endorse Paul Ryan in the House Speaker's upcoming primary. In both cases, Trump's running mate seemed to try to lessen the tension, with Pence praising the parents' sacrifice and saying that he endorsed Ryan with Trump's encouragement

"Sometimes things don’t come out the way that you mean them..."

Good lord.

What did Trump mean then when he asked three times in one security briefing why we can't just use nuclear weapons?

The words coming out of Trump's mouth are exactly the words he means to speak.

It was so good of Gov. Pence to answer him by showing it rather than just telling it.

And he wanted to make sure he wasn't wishy washy on his support of the top of the ticket.

Lord knows what his parents have been telling him.

His concern was that Pence is not strongly enough with Trump.

Note his interview with CNN:

Schricker told CNN after the event that he was excited by Trump's pick of Pence for vice president, but wanted to make sure Pence was in the race for right reasons. He had been disappointed over Pence weighing in on Trump's proposed Muslim ban and his comments about the Khan family.

"I just wanted to see if was actually with Trump or if he was just like, or if he was just sort of doing it for himself," Schricker told reporters. "My concern was he wasn't going full on on Trump's views, and I was a little worried that he was softening up a little bit."

Schricker, who attended the event with his mother, said he was satisfied with Pence's answer.

"He's a little different from Donald Trump, and I like that they have different styles. He kind of balances the ticket, I like what he's doing and he supports Donald Trump," Schricker told reporters.

Schricker said he started supporting Trump shortly after he annouced his candidacy.

"None of the establishment politicians really followed my views and actually agreed with me," Schricker told reporters. "So after Donald Trump came I was very satisfied with him and I loved him."

"It's kind of sad trying to challenge one of your allies but I just wanted to be sure what his views are," he added.

Don't know. But one of his aides was quoted yesterday in some
article I can't find right now that the election would be decided on
'large outside events'.

So we're going to have a scary October Surprise?

We're on a roll right now, there will be ups and downs, it's almost
too good to be true, like we're being set up.

Keep working, in all your local elections and committees.

6th-grader who wants so bad to place himself above his developmental phase by pretending to be a grown-up, most likely to please his asinine parents. Not unlike the hysteric himself.
