Trump On Second Amendment Backlash: ‘I Think It’s A Good Thing For Me’

Source: Huffington Post

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Tuesday night he’s benefitting from the controversy he created earlier in the day by suggesting “the Second Amendment people” might forcefully stop Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton from appointing Supreme Court justices.

After an outcry from Democrats and gun-control advocates over remarks that appeared to obliquely encourage violence, Trump said he didn’t mean to suggest any harm. The real villains, he said on Fox News, were the media.

“I have to say, in terms of politics, there is few things, and I happen to think that if [the media] did even bring this up, I think it’s a good thing for me,” Trump told Sean Hannity.

“Because it’s going to tell people more about me with respect to the Second Amendment ... because Hillary Clinton wants to essentially abolish the Second Amendment.”

Given the fact that the Clintons have killed over 90 people (just one DNC staffer the other day over the email leaks), I would be more fearful of implied threats from Hillary than Trump. Trump, unlike the Clintons, hasn't killed anyone.

Lots of possibilities in the Diagnostic Statistical Manual DSM on a clinical basis, but as art Trump comes close to some iterations and literary interpretations of the Joker in Batman. Absent that he has not conducted mass murder, Donald is in a category to himself. Is it merely performance art, I vote "NO"!

He's received since he announced he was running for President. It feels like it has been wall to wall coverage, all day every day, for over a year now and we still have 3 months to go.

I bet in the end the amount of coverage he received through all the outlets will probably be more than Bernie, Hilary, and all the other Republican candidates combined.

This whole thing has been surreal. I've never seen this much coverage of one person in my life. It's not helping him but still.

He's really happy that the dog whistle worked and he's hoping Clinton is scared enough not to do the right thing and appoint jurist who aren't anti-gun when she gets elected president. If not, he'll be totally happy if someone kills her and will be totally responsible, though will deny it to his death.

make sure the entire country knows that you are super-firm in your support for the 2nd Amendment

tell us regularly about the risk Democrats pose to the current interpretation of the 2nd Amendment

your extensive understanding of 2nd Amendment issues will destroy HRC's campaign in no time, really it will

He apparently thinks that the more outrageous he is, the more publicity he gets (and he's right about that). He doesn't seem to realize that there IS such a thing as bad publicity. He needs to look at the long list of politicians who have been brought down by scandals.

I'm seriously starting to think he may have a Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
