Donald Trump Calls For No Debate Moderators As Pressure Mounts To Fact-Check Him

Source: Huffington Post

NEW YORK ― Since NBC’s Matt Lauer received widespread criticism for failing to fact-check Donald Trump at Wednesday night’s presidential forum, members of the public and press have been urging moderators for the upcoming debates to do better.

If the GOP nominee lies about being a vocal opponent of the Iraq War, as he did Wednesday and throughout the 2016 campaign, for instance, he should be called out.

Trump responded Monday to the Lauer controversy, and growing calls for the TV journalists steering the debates to challenge Trump’s and Hillary Clinton’s falsehoods, by proposing there should be no moderators at all.

“I think, maybe, we should have no moderator,” Trump said on CNBC. “Let Hillary and I sit there and just debate. I think the system is being rigged so it’s going to be a very unfair debate. And I can see it happening right now. Everyone’s saying that [Lauer] was soft on Trump. Well now, the new person’s going to try and be really hard on Trump just to show the establishment what he can do. So, I think it’s very unfair what they’re doing. I think we should have a debate with no moderators, just Hillary and I sitting there talking.”

around the debate moderators and make the debate moderators pay for it.

Trump respects nothing. I resent his candidacy on grounds of a long list of things, but high on that list is that his supporters want him in the Oval Office because his candidacy validates their limitations.

Trump is deplorable in and of himself but his supporters are deplorable, just as Hillary Clinton said they are.

He's trying to screw with things constantly... He jumps all over the fricking map on every subject. I wouldn't be surprised if he feels he gets hammered in the first debate coming up, that he says they're rigged for her, and refuses to go back. He may even refuse to go if there's moderators, which of course there will be. He is not getting to yell over Hillary without any moderation telling him to shut his orange yamhead up!

Clinton bulldoze this guy in the first debate. I'd like to see her draw on her vastly superior resume' and just bulldoze his sorry butt off the stage.

People watching the debate will see a formidable and accomplished adult on our side and on the Republican side, they'll see an ignorant blowhard, spasmodic and unable to focus.

Trump has a personality, such as it is, which is tailor-made for reality television, but not the temperament for any of the difficult tasks a president needs in the real world.

The media lap up the high-drama moment and downplay (or ignore) the long-term issues.

In a formal debate, there's a judge but he's not a moderator. The sides question each other after arguments and rebuttals, and it's up to the opponents to call out false assertions. Hillary must do that, even if the moderator doesn't.

The last thing they want, is a discussion of the facts. They always make it personal, and their frustration makes them prone to violence. O'Reilly threatened Glick physically, after he was certain he was no longer being recorded.

Trump is pathologically incapable of telling the truth...so Hillary will have to call out his lies...he, in turn, will
lie about her and call her a liar for daring to confront him on his lies.

We get nowhere without someone to fact check.

What do you expect, from a guy who's running a campaign with no intelligence or principles or civility---aided and abetted by a media who are making big, easy bucks off the insane remarks that Trump spews on a daily basis.

What the hell is it going to take to put a stop to this madness? I'm ready to take part in the closest available street riot, if that's what is called for. I want my country back.

Tue Sep 13, 2016, 10:37 AM
Sep 2016

we the citizens of this country have the right mind you under the Constitution to have people there to question you and Clinton.
Maybe you can go on some infomercial and sell a scam, or you can get on stage a demean someone with disabilities, or you you can rant and rave about nationalists to suit your racists bigotry, and hire people to your election team, that think everything is a conspiracy in your brainless brain, and hired people on your team, that worked for Robert Mercer (Hedge Fund dude), who by the way funds Breitbart, then we the public have a right to know and a need to know.

But when it comes to having the codes for war, and the pen to nominate extremists to the bench, we have a right to know what you are going to do.

So go and take your silver spoon and T***l-------------you already have one of your cronies saying that its not his job to "fact check" you by the name of Chris Wallace from the propaganda sexist organization called Fix Noise (who by the way is worthless) so again take your silver spoon and S** on it, and T***l like a orange swirl ice cream on a stick

Bawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

And if you think the system is rigged as you call it, lets see your tax returns for starters , that's the first question, and the public will see how the system is rigged as you call it.

And then the second is your "contribution" to a not one but two state attorney generals and your issue with Trump U
