Appearing at an Christian gathering in Cleveland on Wednesday, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump was put under the protection of God by a bevy of evangelicals after the host of the conference said the New York businessman needed to be protected from a concentrated Satanic attack.
After Trump addressed a few African-American pastors and a whole lot of white people at the Midwest Vision and Values Pastors Leadership Conference, pro-Trump pastor and co-host of the event, Darrell Scott, took the mic.
Speaking to the attendees, Scott claimed that a nationally known but unidentified preacher had forewarned Trump that if you choose to run for president, theres going to be a concentrated Satanic attack against you.
In video captured by Right Wing Watch, Scott can be seen announcing, He said theres going to be a demon, principalities and powers, that are going to war against you on a level that youve never seen before and Im watching it every day.

(106,207 posts)The Powers are the bearers of conscience and the keepers of history. They are also the warrior angels created to be completely loyal to God. Some believe that no Power has ever fallen from grace, but another theory states that Satan was the Chief of the Powers before he Fell (see also Ephesians 6:12). Their duty is to oversee the distribution of power among humankind, hence their name.[citation needed]
...
The "Principalities" (Latin: principati) also translated as "Princedoms" and "Rulers", from the Greek archai, pl. of archē (see Greek root in Eph 3:10), are the angels that guide and protect nations, or groups of peoples, and institutions such as the Church. The Principalities preside over the bands of angels and charge them with fulfilling the divine ministry. There are some who administer and some who assist.[9]
The Principalities are shown wearing a crown and carrying a sceptre. Their duty also is said to be to carry out the orders given to them by the upper sphere angels and bequeath blessings to the material world. Their task is to oversee groups of people. They are the educators and guardians of the realm of earth. Like beings related to the world of the germinal ideas, they are said to inspire living things to many things such as art or science.[13]

(3,454 posts)Whenever I see Trump trying to do anything religious, I just cringe. He always looks so uncomfortable and out-of-place ( like the proverbial whore in church!) Obviously he's just going through the motions because he knows he has to. I don't see how these Holy Rollers can compromise their so-called beliefs to support him. He's about the furthest thing from a religious person that I've ever seen!

(40,915 posts)Like today's evangelical supporters, Trump is a Political Christian, not a Christian of faith.
Evangelicals are easily able to spin their beliefs for political expediency.
