Source: Courthouse News Service
A lawsuit filed by an anonymous plaintiff accusing Donald Trump of raping a teenager in the 1990's and threatening to kill her family, will be re-filed with an additional witness on board, the woman's attorney revealed Thursday.
Thomas Meagher, attorney for the Jane Doe plaintiff said they plan to re-file the complaint, accompanied by a new witness afidavit, as soon as the end of next week.
The original lawsuit was voluntarily dismissed on September 16th.
The June 20, 2016, complaint accused the Republican presidential nominee and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein of rape, sexual misconduct, criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse, forcible touching, assault, battery, intentional and reckless infliction of emotional distress, duress, false imprisonment, and defamation.

(13,776 posts)How horrible.
And it only raises more questions, chief among them: What happened to Maria?
Indeed, Defendant Trump stated that I shouldn't ever say anything if I didn't want to disappear like Maria, a 12-year-old female that was forced to be involved in the third incident with Defendant Trump and that I had not seen since that third incident, and that he was capable of having my whole family killed.

(164,122 posts)when a threat like having you "disappeared" like Maria is used.
Now that she has stepped forward, there will be so much attention on her, any act against her would be very hard to conceal.
Good for her. It's evil when any rape happens, but to girls who are actually still children it should be pursued to the ends of the earth.

It's hard for me to believe that he hasn't raped women.
Probably not recently since he is impotent (according to a court statement from his ex-wife).

(748 posts)... but you don't need a working penis in order to rape a woman. At least not by the legal definitions I'm aware of.
Rape is usually considered to be about an expression of power, as opposed to sexuality.

(20 posts)It's the same thing that's done to Obama and the Clintons. The question is will the media report on it?
Personally, I do find it credible.

(45,806 posts)I can see someone filling, having their case dismissed, then stopping. II can't see any credible lawyer REFILING a case, in another State, if he knew, or believed, it would be thrown out again. The fact that Trump.com is going after the lawyer just supports there must be something to this claim.

(5,633 posts)It's not similar to Cosby, because to my knowledge, Trump has never given any kind of deposition related to the case, or any other like it.
The fact that the case is cropping up now smacks of opportunism to me. Similar to all these so-called "Clinton scandals" that people keep trying to make into bigger stories.
Trump is bad enough without people trying to throw what looks like a made up story against him. I would argue that these questionable accusations only hurt our cause.

(37,748 posts)I suppose at this point, anything which paints Trump in a negative light will be perceived merely as questionable opportunism by many, many people...

(10,222 posts)I am sick of the media not reporting all this crap that is coming out on a daily basis by establishment reporters. This stuff isn't freaking Breitbart or Drudge. So, if this story is false but the media decides to get on board because they are lazy and this is a story everyone can understand, fuck it. Who cares? The guy is scum and can't be POTUS.

Court records filed Monday indicate that attorney Cheney Mason has signed on to represent Jane Doe in her lawsuit against Donald Trump. Doe says that Trump raped her when she was 13 years old in the 1990s. On Friday, Federal Judge Ronnie Abrams ordered a December 16th status conference hearing. Shes asked for both sides to provide information that could assist the court in advancing the case to settlement or trial.
Mason, who is now representing Doe, is a Florida-based attorney, who has represented a number of high profile people, including Casey Anthony. Anthony was acquitted of murdering her 2-year old daughter, who went missing in 2008. Masons office confirmed he is now representing Jane Doe along with New Jersey attorney, Thomas Meagher.
This is the third attempt the plaintiff has made in filing this particular lawsuit. Several weeks ago, she filed an amended complaint, with a new witness named Joan Doe. The plaintiff and witnesses in the case are using pseudonyms, they say, to protect their identities.
The complaint alleges billionaire convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein had a woman pickup teenage girls for his famous parties. One of these girls was Jane. Another witness, Tiffany, who also provided an affidavit in the lawsuit, said she witnessed Trump and Epstein rape the plaintiff several times. Trump has repeatedly denied the allegations.
