There have been many rumors of Donald doing business with them. At the time of this story, many European companies started building hotels/casinos in Cuba. There was never a law against Europeans doing business, traveling or vacationing in Cuba. Casinos were a big profit center for the Mob before Castro took power. It would make perfect sense for Donald to do the legwork for the Mob testing the waters as to business possibilities at that time.
