Kaine: Don't accept info in WikiLeaks dump as 'gospel truth'
Source: The Hill
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine on Sunday questioned the authenticity of the latest information dump from WikiLeaks, which includes portions of the paid speeches Hillary Clinton gave to major banks.
WikiLeaks on Friday afternoon published a database of 2,060 documents it claims are emails from Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta.
"I don't think we can dig in documents dumped by WikiLeaks and just assume they're all accurate and true," Kaine said on CNN's State of the Union. "Anyone who hacks in to get documents is completely capable of manipulating them."
Kaine added that he has "no way of knowing" the accuracy of the documents but said previous hacks have been connected to the Russian government. "If that is, in fact, true, you cannot accept as gospel truth anything in this document."

(4,642 posts)I mean, as a huge Bernie supporter I've heard all the allegations, call to turn over her speeches, and if I were her I wouldn't. Does anyone really think she would go up in front of these banksters and tell them what dirty, rotten scoundrels they were and that she hates capitalism? She got paid good money to make what amounted to feel good speeches. I'm glad she did. She was also in demand and having her speak is a big deal and worth the pay. Wouldn't surprise me if she did berate them a bit for being a part of the problem, poor judgement in the industry, ect...
In the end she is the only candidate worth voting for and will make positive changes for the 99%.
We also must remember that a president is suppose to be everyone's president, not just the far left. She we make decisions that will piss us off, have some right wing leaning advisers, just like Obama did. I believe, overall, that she will probably be the best president since Carter.
