Monmouth poll finds statistical ties in Missouri's Senate & governor races; Trump leads Clinton

Source: STL Post Dispatch

Republican Sen. Roy Blunt, previously the clear front runner in his re-election bid, now is holding just a 2-point lead over Democratic challenger Jason Kander, the poll found. They stood at 46 percent and 44 percent support, respectively.

At the same time, Republican gubernatorial nominee Eric Greitens has cut Democrat Chris Koster's summer lead of 11 points down to just 3 points. The poll puts the Koster-Greitens race at 46-43.

The new poll has a 4.9 percent margin for error.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump holds a 5-point lead in the state over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, 46-41, putting that contest just outside the poll's margin for error.

Trump's lead here isn't a surprise, as Missouri has been trending Republican in the past few national elections.
