Obama endorses all the way down ballot

President Barack Obama will make a late splash into races for state senate and assembly over the next week, endorsing roughly 150 candidates across 20 states.

He’ll also back a candidate for North Carolina state supreme court.

The endorsements—which will come along with a variety of robocalls, social media, mailers, photos of Obama with the candidates taken as he’s been traveling to campaign in recent weeks, and even a few radio ads—are Obama’s biggest investment in state races ever by far, and come as he gears up to make redistricting reform at the state level the political priority of his post-presidency.

This is the beginning of that effort, an unprecedented engagement all the way down-ballot for any president.

Excellent! Too many people (including the funders I deal with) focus on the Federal races. If we don't build up our State-level strength, we won't be prepared for 2020 redistricting, and we don't build our farm team.

You are so correct, brooklynite! Choosing a president is very important for the country's national security, but when it comes to domestic policy, we need a Congress that can work with our president, not obstruct out of pure-partisanship or hateful sore-loserism.

Republicans have done nothing for their nearly $200k annual salary and amazing benefits these past six years. They've let the American people down in such ugly ways that it still astounds me that they are even in the running for re-election.

The American electorate needs to wake the F*** up already. Republicans should NOT be rewarded with cushy seats and nice incomes while the rest of us have to suffer because of their laziness. Time to teach them a lesson and I'm happy as could be that President Obama and Eric Holder are going to do just that.

boosting Hillary, but also a resounding definition of what it means to be
