Hillary Clinton at UNC Charlotte: Trump is ‘direct threat to our democracy’

Staking her hopes of carrying North Carolina partly on college students, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton spoke Sunday at an outdoor rally at UNC Charlotte and will return to the state Thursday to appear side-by-side with Michelle Obama.
In addition to the first lady, who is especially popular with young women voters, the Clinton campaign will bring Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. another surrogate campaigner whos a hit with Millennials to North Carolina to campaign in the university-rish Triangle.
On Sunday, speaking to a few thousand students at UNC Charlotte, Clinton said Sunday that Republican Donald Trumps refusal to say he would respect the Nov. 8 election result is a direct threat to our democracy.
