CNN Chief Jeff Zucker Rips Donna Brazile’s ‘Disgusting’ Dealings With Clinton Campaign

Source: Huffington Post

NEW YORK ― CNN president Jeff Zucker described former network commentator Donna Brazile’s interactions with the Clinton campaign as “unethical” and “disgusting” during a Tuesday editorial meeting, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.

Zucker’s remarks followed reports Monday that Brazile informed Hillary Clinton’s campaign in March about a question they could expect at a Democratic primary debate the following night against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. This was the second time last month that hacked emails published by Wikileaks appeared to show Brazile tipping off the Clinton campaign with a possible CNN debate or town hall question.

Brazile, a longtime Democratic strategist and TV pundit, served as vice chair of the Democratic National Committee through much of the 2016 election. In July, she became interim DNC chair after Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) resigned because emails published by Wikileaks showed party officials supporting Clinton’s candidacy even though the organization was supposed to remain neutral during the primary. CNN suspended Brazile’s contract at the time, but it was expected she’d return to the network after the permanent selection of a DNC chair following the election.

But WikiLeaks published an email on Oct. 11 in which Brazile appeared to send the Clinton campaign a question on the death penalty ahead of a March town hall event. “From time to time I get the questions in advance,” she wrote to campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri. The email is one of thousands leaked from the account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. The Clinton campaign has accused Russian hackers of targeting Podesta, though has not authenticated the documents being published by Wikileaks.

Did she actually do this?!?

Were Donna Brazile’s interactions with the Clinton campaign “unethical” and “disgusting” as Jeff Zucker is claiming? He's A CNN president for god's sake!

Please tell me that Donna did not actually tip off Hillary or her people about debate questions. This just can't be true.

He is a pig, I don't think he does Trump any favors with his attitude and bias, and he is also a great vehicle into the psyche of Teem tRump. While I quickly tire of his schtick, I also suspect his bad-itude rubs others the same way.

But, if I were he, and I was getting a termination offer, I would demand monthly or biweekly payments, if only to protect my finances. (Probably demanding a purchased annuity, just because Trump)

Just because there is an extended time period of his payout. Payoff. Pay owed. Does NOT mean that he is on salary now. I truly believe he is not.

BUT.

That does not take away the fact that his hiring in the first place was a ridiculous, idiotic, and stupendously short-sighted move that only gave Der Gropin-Fuhrer even more free advertising.

Today's media, if it were collectively put on trial this year, would be found guilty of journalistic malpractice and it would have punitive damages assessed as well. Plus attorneys' fees. And sanctions. Costs. And payment for its role in creating the means of the USA's destruction.

....ONE question!!!

In the wikileaks stolen email, they say "Brazile appeared to send the Clinton campaign a question...."

See that - "APPEARED" and "A QUESTION". And Brazile has denied that she did it and when she saw the email she said she didn't write it.

It's been noted a number of times that many of the so-called emails that wikileaks released either were created by wikileaks or doctored by wikileaks.

This whole issue is bullshit, and CNN's president should know that and should act more responsibly.

CNN's President is in the tank for tRump, and probably could not care less about appearances. This was just a tRumped-up excuse to get rid of Brazile, whom I'm sure was a bit of a thorn in their side: a strong, educated Black woman that did not suffer fools lightly.

"Brazile appeared to send the Clinton campaign a question...." I call major BULLSHIT!!!

I had the same reaction when Comey called out HRC in that weird press conference in July. I just couldn't see the head of the FBI scolding a man in the same way.

I think there's a lot of male privilege angst coming out in this campaign.

Wikileaks traffics in stolen property. Wikileaks is not journalism. Wikileaks took this load from Russia. Russia trolls us -- even our message boards, and you know it. Putin has an interest in creating chaos and distrust.

WHY on God's green earth would anyone take this latest load of crap from Wikileaks at face value? I am not saying that none of it is true; what I am saying is that it is very conceivable that it has been selectively tampered with in order to (see above) sow chaos and distrust.

At this point, I trust NOTHING coming from Wikileaks, and in my opinion, neither should anyone else. The media handling of this "source" continues to amaze and disgust me.
