Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump tied in Colorado, new poll shows
Source: Denver Post
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are tied in Colorado, a new poll shows, entering the final days of the 2016 presidential race.
The University of Denver poll released Wednesday found Clinton and Trump deadlocked at 39 percent in a four-way race, in a survey of registered likely voters conducted Saturday through Monday. The third-party candidates combined for 15 percent with another 8 percent undecided. The polls margin of error is plus-or-minus 4.2 percent.
A head-to-head match between the major party candidates put Clinton at 42 percent and Trump at 41 percent, a statistical tie.
...
Floyd Ciruli, a veteran Colorado pollster who conducted the survey, said the numbers are reflective of the fact that this environment has turned negative for Clinton, notably the FBI inquiry into additional e-mails with possible ties to her tenure as secretary of state. Among voters who already cast ballots, Clinton sits in a much better position at 45 percent to 38 percent for Trump a number that appears to support early voting figures showing Democrats with a 23,000 ballot advantage.

I am just typing "poll" into google and posting the latest poll results that have not all ready been posted. That's ALL of them. I also use only legitimate news sources, like Reuters or major newspapers like the Denver Post.
The previous post had trump up in Nevada, Hillary up in Florida.
Type "poll" into google and see for yourself what shows up now in the NEWS category. (9:37 PM)
Kingofalldems has been commenting all day on this apparently, shrug.
Posting a late breaking poll result is, well late breaking news. Sorry that some of the results upset some people to the point of saying untoward things about this.

So you are seeing a "pattern" that is just google result. Shrug.
Again, please don't shoot the messenger.
Here is a crude cut and paste of this google search on the word "poll" that I did at 9:37, the only poll results that qualified as breaking news were the article about the Colorado poll and the article about Nevada/Florida polls. NOTHING was cherry picked. Shrug

President: Hillary Clinton
Democrat Hillary Clinton, the first woman ever to win a major-party nomination, is without question the most qualified candidate in the race for president and an easy call to make when considering the challenges confronting the nation. Her nearly 40 years in public life have instilled in her the temperament she needs to face the many challenges that await. We urge voters to choose the clearly qualified candidate in this race: Hillary Clinton. Read the full endorsement."

Ok, I think I deserve an apology from several posters here. The DENVER POST endorsed HILLARY CLINTON for PRESIDENT.
Good Grief. Look, I realize that unfavorable poll results are unsettling, but some people are going over board in making accusations.
I posted the LATEST poll results from a google search of the word "poll" that were not all ready posted to late breaking news at that time.
This witch hunt direct towards me is unflattering to DU.
I honestly feel I deserve, if not an apology, at least an acknowledgement that some critics were just a little too trigger happy.

That's what I suspected.
But why post it here on DU? We debunk that shite in no time.
Isn't there a DU rule about posting b.s. repub links here?
Just asking "
First, people post poll results from right leaning pollsters ALL the time here on DU -- and of course people point out how right leaning they are. So if you just said something like "do you realize how right wing this pollster is?" I would say "gee, no". Instead I got slammed.
Second, you said: Isn't there a DU rule about posting b.s. repub links here?" That seemed a bit harsh to me since the Denver Post is an awarding winning major newspaper that endorsed Hillary Clinton for president this year. SO I asked, why am I getting slammed for a link to a Denver Post article?
Also, not you, but another poster accused me of cherry picking bad polls for Hillary and ignored the fact that I showed it was just a result of googling the word "poll".
Honestly, my motives have been impugned left and right and no one has had the decency to say gee we were a bit harsh on you. lol

Maybe we are all just tired of doom & gloom type poll posts but the truth is, this election has gone on way too long.
5 days until campaigning is over.
It will take a good week or two after Nov 8th for therepubs to slug it out with each other over their ass kicking loss.

Why do this? First, because it IS late breaking news. Second, to fight any complacency if polls actually ARE tightening. Third, as a protest against those that would try to censor or intimidate people into not posting topics that they just don't like. This IS Democratic Underground, posting from reputable sources should not be censored. Thank you.
