Poll: Trump catches Clinton in New Hampshire
Source: Politico
Donald Trump has pulled even with Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, according to a new poll released Thursday the latest public survey to show cracks in Clintons once-safe firewall.
The WBUR-FM poll, conducted by MassINC Polling Group, shows Trump leading by a single point, 40 percent to 39 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson is at 10 percent, Green Party nominee Jill Stein is at 3 percent and a combined 7 percent of likely voters are undecided or prefer another candidate.
In fact, the WBUR poll points to a GOP sweep of statewide races. In the states high-stakes Senate race, incumbent GOP Sen. Kelly Ayotte has a 6-point lead over Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan, 51 percent to 45 percent. And Republican Chris Sununu is 5 points ahead of Democrat Colin Van Ostern in the race to replace Hassan as governor, 49 percent to 44 percent.
The WBUR poll is an outlier.

Note: I am typing the word "poll" into google (set on the NEWS category) and posting new polls that have not yet been posted to Late Breaking News.
Nothing is being "cherry picked", so if any poll results are unsettling please don't shoot the messenger. Yesterday I was the victim of a semi-witchhunt for doing this.
Why do this? First, because it IS late breaking news. Second, to fight any complacency if polls actually ARE tightening. Third, as a protest against those that would try to censor or intimidate people into not posting topics that they just don't like. This IS Democratic Underground, posting from reputable sources should not be censored. Thank you.

Seriously, the only thing that is becoming obvious is that YOU just jumped to conclusions and made a false accusation. Go ahead, type "poll into google NOW at 7:31 AM in the NEWS category and see the results for yourself. Good Grief.
If you feel any particular poll is "sketchy", by all means expose it. What problem to you have with this particular poll?

Seriously, as my main detractor, I was expecting more substance from you this morning. What, 5 or so poll results posted already today and you haven't said anything substantiative about any of them. Nor did you note that the results were mixed for both candidates.
How intellectually honest is that? Not very?

That's six posts in the last 24 or so hours that have showcased heavily negative Clinton polling.
It's a pretty remarkable pattern for such a short period of time, especially when there are positive polls out there that you've barely mentioned or ignore entirely - and no, just posting a couple 'good' polls doesn't make up for the obvious trend of you pushing negative polls.
It's okay to admit you're focusing on negative posts. But don't lie about it.

I chose to search on the word "poll" and report what the google NEWS results were just so people like you could not assign some sinister motive to my actions.
I even cut and pasted that in for people yesterday to prove that.

Its not my fault that these results are trending a little the wrong way, don't shoot the messenger.
I do notice that your list left out the positive polls for Hillary and the damning one for tRump that I posted today. Was that an over sight?
So here are the ones you left out:

In any case posting these would detracts from your accusation that I am cheery picking polls eh? Hey, you aren't cherry picking my posts now, are you? I hope not.
In any case anyone can google on the word "poll" and see the NEWS results for themselves, disproving your contention for themselves.
Drunken Irishman
(34,857 posts)You can blame Google. You can say you just type in "poll" but you and I know that's not true. You clearly are hunting for negative polls or you'd post a helluva lot more positive polls than you are because, guess what? There are just as many - if not more - out there. But alas, the only polls you've posted that are positive are about how Clinton leads a race that is tightening and a poll about there not being a silent majority of Trump voters who could win him the election (the other poll you mentioned is neutral, at best).

(2,208 posts)What I know is that YOUR bias against me is showing.
People can type "poll" into google and see the NEWS results for themselves. I post any and ALL polls that HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN POSTED.
What you are upset about is the content of the polls, I am just posting them as they come in.
Sorry, but your rudeness in saying "You clearly are hunting for negative polls" is pretty bad, even for this current witch hunt.
I told you my methodology and that I chose it to AVOID BASELESS ACCUSATIONS like you are making now.
Anyone can type "poll" into google and see the NEWS results returned this morning THEMSELVES. That simple blows your accusations out of the water. Go ahead, do it your self.... better yet let me do it FOR you.

(2,208 posts)Not sure if Nate Silver's predictions are Late Breaking News, wouldn't that be "analysis"? Analysis is not allowed in Late Breaking News. Since his analysis uses some older polls that would not qualify as Late Breaking News, would it? Besides its analysis in any case.
But lets see if that shows up in google.
Goggle results get updated over time. I posted between 7:00 and 9:00 and am checking in from work now at 9:38... lets see if I can find that article now.
Oh, I see, you didn't look at the results from NEWS, you looked at the ALL results. I am using the results from NEWS since that seemed appropriate fro Late Breaking News.
Check the NEWS results yourself. Hmm, I think I did see that and thought it was analysis. I DID post the NY Times poll results that shows Hillary in the lead and the poll that disparaged the myth of "shy" (i.e. unpolled or mispolled) tRump voters, so please don't think I left out a positive analysis of current but not late breaking news polls for any nefarious reason
