new Morning Call/Muhlenberg College poll shows Democrat Hillary Clinton with a 6-point lead among likely Pennsylvania voters, who also expressed some concerns about potential violence as the tense and tumultuous election draws to a close.
The results are similar to a poll conducted two weeks earlier , indicating little to no shift in public opinion after the recent FBI announcement that it was reviewing a new set of emails linked to Clinton, said Chris Borick, director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion.
The statewide survey conducted between Oct. 30 and Nov. 4 with 405 likely Pennsylvania voters and with a margin of error of 5.5 percentage points shows Clinton with support from 48 percent and Trump with the backing of 42 percent in a head-to-head matchup.
When third-party candidates are included, Clinton's lead narrows to 4 points. She drew 44 percent, with Trump at 40 percent, Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson at 7 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 2 percent.

(2,208 posts)This close to the election, posting them here in LBN seems reasonable because it makes them more prominent and easier to find, especially for any user not familiar with GD16. For example, I hadn't been paying close enough attention myself and didn't know about GD16 until informed about it by people asking the same question you just did.
As for making LBN not usable for other news, well, let me quote President Obama --- c'mon, man. Joking.
The volume of threads in LBN is huge, adding the 5 or 6 significant new polls that seem to be released in any given day just doesn't seem like placing a burden on the forum. The polls I am posting are the most newsworthy, well, the one's google feel are the most newsworthy and are limited in number. These are the polls that might be mentioned on TV or radio, posting articles about them here that are more detailed seems appropriate this close to the election.
But, I do take your point. I have repeatedly stated when asked the question you raised that I would gladly stop posting what I am if told to do so by the admins or the forum moderators.
Please feel free to alert on any or all of these poll posts that you feel might be inappropriate here. So far, it seems that the DU staff feels they are not too unacceptable here this close to the election. That might change, but it has not so far.
In summary, LBN is a prominent forum and placing these new poll results here seems reasonable this close to the election, and also for those newer members or members that don't frequent other forums except LBD and General discussion, placing these polls in LBN make them easier to find and discuss.
Good lord, I just said "this close to election" a zillion times. lol Sorry for the poor writing style.
Cheers.
