Worried Scientists Urge Trump to Respect Their Work

More than 2,300 American scientists, including 22 Nobel Prize winners, issued an open letter to President-elect Donald Trump and Congress Wednesday, urging them to respect science.

They are especially worried about government interference in their work and about policies that could reject scientific fact notably climate science.

to respect science. Not sure how that is going to play out.

Donald Trump has no understanding of science at all. And no interest in it. How could he have any respect for it?

It's always interesting to me how every aspect of our modern life depends on the accomplishments of science. But people think these miracles are something they are entitled to just by virtue of existing, How does Trump think he tweets? How does he think he flies everywhere he goes? How does he think he controls his blood pressure or whatever else he controls?

Why normalize him and treat him with respect? He does not merit their respect. Don't give him any truck. Ignore, marginalize and fight back like hell.

he will straighten up and fly right when he has to. He will not and cannot. The nation is in for an interesting lesson in personality pathology. When/If this guy ever starts to act "normal" for more than five seconds, you can believe that someone else is in control.

not for women, and probably not for scientists either
but he'll glibly say he "respects science more than anyone on the planet" and his followers will believe him
