So why did McConnell block the release of the story about Russia hacking our
elections and block increased security for our voting systems?

McConnell is guilty of treason.

I smell fear, because what he did by threatening to make it partisan if the public was informed before the election, was treasonous.

When they start opening that Pandora's box, it's hard how many will be wearing the ball and chain when it's done.

edited to add:

McConnell put the republican party over the well being of America. Although I
don't know thnis but I have no doubt that McConnell knew about the election
rigging and that is why he blocked Justice Merrick Garland's nomination to
the Supreme Court.

Was he working behind the scenes to do the rigging? And Jeb Bush dropping out so soon in this whole scheme of things. Was the Repug clown car just cover for Trump and did the Repugs plan to use Trump as the front man for this whole bringing down of everything the Dems and Obama have worked for over all the years?

Did they plan all along to make Trump the useful idiot? Do they all have 'plausible deniability" now?

My tinfoil hat has been too tight since well before the election when I posted that if I didn't know any better that there was a 'coup' going on.

My suspicions seemed real on election night when Trump won. And everyday since that day - things are only getting worse.

And keep corporate taxes low, because it will all trickle down and help workers. But, um, keep minimum wage as low as possible.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell raised doubts about intelligence pointing to Russia trying to help President-elect Donald Trump win the election.

<snip>

Citing several unnamed officials, The Post wrote that McConnell threatened to rebuke the Obama administration if it publicly challenged Russia.

Trump hired McConnell's wife, Elaine Chao, as secretary of transportation after the election. Chao ran the Labor Department in the George W. Bush administration.

The appointment requires congressional approval. McConnell has rejected calls to recuse himself from the confirmation process.
