White House suggests Trump benefited from Russia hacking

Source: CNN

(CNN)The White House strongly suggested Monday that Donald Trump was the beneficiary of Russian meddling in the US election, saying it was the President-elect who praised Vladimir Putin on the campaign trail.

"The emails that had been hacked and leaked by the Russians, these were emails from the (Democratic National Committee) and John Podesta, not from the (Republican National Committee) and Stephen Bannon," said White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.

"It was the President-elect who over the course of the campaign indicated that he thought that President Putin was a strong leader," Earnest added.
He said members of Congress should "spare us the hand-wringing" and move forward with investigating Russian ties to the election.

This was a coup. Both external (russia) and internal (Cross check Kris Kobach, Comey,
and McConnell).

I've been a very vocal supporter of the President since 2008. However I think this situation is perhaps a mortal threat to the republic and as a result I believe demands firm and unwavering leadership from President Obama. He cannot be concerned about appearances of "partisan politics" when we are facing this type of threat to our country

And if determining motive can be cleared up by a review of PEOTUS' business ties, demand it. It's not hard, if the Constitution that's always being waved in our faces is worth something more than toilet paper.

so what?

In my opinion, this whole mess stank from the beginning,
a few months ago when the hacking and revelations started.

That this didn't send alarm bells that would turn into serious
activism and investigation speaks volumes about the state
of our society and its totally broken and corrupt election system.

And everyone not active in seeing this through to a proper
end is complicit.

Doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Their job wasnt to broadcast the exposed emails of only one party/one side, their job was to talk about who was exposing them and why.

Where was the activism for fairness and objectivity?

We have suffered from a serious lack of activism
ever since Florida 2000, which should have been
the start of aggressive demonstrations, sit-ins,
and protests with a determination not to give up
without redress.

paying our bills, meeting our obligations.

There is an obscene level of income inequality in this country but much of this country has been brainwashed into believing it either doesn't exist or if it does it is the fault of working people not working hard enough.

I trust Obama so he must have a strategy. We all have to be very strategic on how we proceed and should not appear partisan or it may backfire. This is a unique developmemt in the post-election when Trump is not no longer able to silence the message. But we must be focused. Widespread awareness that the election is not yet over and the true role of EC must be cleraly understoon by each American.

I am talking about democratic leaders that would benefit from at least some republican support to make the issue bipartisan. At the end of the day this is about voters not just politicians. I hope Obama has a strategy and maybe he is waiting for more republicans to join the effort before announcing anything.

Gosh, I understand this is DU but losing touch with reality is not helpful.

Right and wrong? Tell it to trump voters - they can only think R or D
