Trump plans personal touch for Oval Office wall

Source: Politico

President-elect Donald Trump is planning to make some artistic changes to the Oval Office that reflect his fascination with his own unexpected victory.

Trump has told friends he plans to hang in the Oval Office a personal letter written to him in 1987 by President Richard Nixon that predicted his eventual win.

The letter was sent to the developer after first lady Pat Nixon saw Trump interviewed on television and thought to herself, a political star is born.

“Dear Donald,” the bizarrely prescient correspondence from Nixon, dated Dec. 21, 1987, reads. “I did not see the program, but Mrs. Nixon told me that you were great on the Donahue Show. As you can imagine, she is an expert on politics and she predicts that whenever you decide to run for office you will be a winner!”

Here are 13 predictions that Baba Vanga made for 2016 and the future
https://www.yahoo.com/news/heres-what-baba-vanga-predicted-for-2016-and-the-192833607.html?ref=gs

She is called the Nostradamus of the Balkans, and with good reason. Baba, Vanga, the blind Bulgarian clairvoyant, who died 20 years ago, is believed to have predicted the rise of the ISIS, the fall of the twin towers, the 2004 Tsunami, and the global warming, among a host of other events. “Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds.“ “The wolves will be howling in a bush and innocent blood will gush,” is, according to her followers, what she said about the fall of the twin towers.

Born as Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova, in Strumica, Macedonia, Baba Vanga, mysteriously lost her eyesight when she was 12, during a massive storm. She went missing for a few days, and it is during one of these days, that she had her first vision. Baba Vanga rose to popularity as she started to make predictions, and developed a healing touch, during the World War II. Several dignitaries visited the mystic during the years that she was active, including the Bulgarian tsar, Boris III. Before she died in 1996 from breast cancer, she had said that her gift would be passed on to a 10 year old girl, living in France, who will then take on from her. Her house has since been converted into a museum.

Here are 13 predictions that the Blind Baba made for 2016 and beyond:

Barack Obama will be the last president of the US: Baba Vanga had predicted that the 44th US president would be an African American, but she had also added that he would be the last one. According to her, he would leave office at a time when the country would be in economic ruins, and there would be a huge divide between the northern and southern states – as was the case during the American Civil War.

And there will be a #45.
Kind of contradicts herself with Europe though, she says it will cease to exist by this year yet also says the muslims will invade it.
Although her prediction of the invasion of Europe seems to be in progress

The last President to be impeached was Clinton.

And like the only other President to be impeached, Andrew Johnson, he survived it.

Nixon would have soundly lost in an impeachment hearing.

Let's face it, Trump is not the party's choice for president. As soon as Democrats introduce articles of impeachment, key Republicans will jump on board to ensure a Pence White House. If the impeachment is widely bipartisan, Trump will have no choice but to exit, quietly or not.

Mike Pence could never have won this election on his own, but as it was he was largely ignored while the human tweetstorm danced in the spotlight.

President in my aware lifetime. I was born in 1967. My memory of Nixon is no memory at all. I was in the fifth grade asking for my classmates to vote for Carter.

The more I think about this, the more I realize that EVERY president in my lifetime showed humility at the awesome job that the people gave him. Agree or disagree with the politics -- they showed humility.

This guy?

Not so much.

This OP is proof positive of it.

Most GOPers prefer not to talk about Nixon, for good reason. But Trump is impressed only by the fact that Nixon said something positive about him, which is all that matters. All the sleaze that came out during the Watergate hearings isn't important; Nixon wrote a letter praising Trump so Nixon is good.

will not be allowed by the agency that oversees the historical preservation of the White House. Of course, he could disband that agency, too, and hire whoever decorated Saddam Hussein's palace. Liberace's designer might be too conservative.
