Debbie Reynolds Rushed to Hospital for Possible Stroke

Source: TMZ

Debbie Reynolds just suffered a medical emergency, which we're told is a possible stroke ... and EMTs just raced to the scene, TMZ has learned.

Debbie was at her son, Todd Fisher's home in Beverly Hills and just after 1 PM someone from the house called 911.

We're told 84-year-old Debbie, whose daughter, Carrie, died Tuesday, has been distraught since Carrie's emergency Friday on a United jet.

Now we see the effect.

She and Carrie were great together. Watching them in a joint interview was a treat. You could see Carrie got her humor and keen wit from her mom.

She appeared in OKC a few years ago and appeared in one of the Pop Concerts. I was sitting in the front row and actually got to shake her hand. She always started her performances by introducing herself as Princess Leia's mother. She also could do the most incredible impersonations.

She must be so heartbroken on the death of her daughter. Best wishes for her and her family.

At age 84, even without any prior strokes, the stress and grief of losing her daughter so suddenly could easily trigger this.

A couple of years ago I read a novel that took place in Northern Ireland in the late 19th century. Life for the Catholic majority was so bad that when one died it was said they "got away." I hope we don't start thinking the same.

There is nothing worst than a parent losing a child unexpectedly. My in laws lost their daughter unexpectedly in 2003 my Mother in law says even to this day not a day goes by that she doesn't ache for that lost child. Take care Debbie.
