Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer, has been identified as the author of the unverified dossier on Trumps alleged ties to Russia, the Wall Street Journal reported

[link:http://www.wsj.com/articles/christopher-steele-ex-british-intelligence-officer-said-to-have-prepared-dossier-on-trump-1484162553Sources told the WSJ] that Steele, now a director of a London-based private security and investigations firm, produced the dossier containing explosive allegations of Trumps deep ties to Russia.

Steele, 52, is one of the two directors of the Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd., which, [link:https://orbisbi.com/according to its website], was founded in 2009 by former British intelligence professionals.

The firm describes itself as a leading corporate intelligence consultancy which provides senior decisionmakers with strategic insight, intelligence and investigative services to protect their interests worldwide.

It will be done in a way to transfer their Political Misdeeds to Trump. Key will be stories in the NYT and WSJ . Hunch says it will start with the one or all the Intelligence Agencies. One key will be the Military if we start ramping up operations in the Mid East and Ukraine Black Sea area.

I don't get it. What purpose does it serve to put his name out there? It just makes him an unnecessary target. It also would surely make others with information second guess coming forward with it in the future.

Part of trying to confirm. They could have pegged it to that ol' pal, the "unnamed source", but that probably wouldn't stand for long. He evidently compiled it, which leads one to ask - "where did he get this stuff? And from whom?"

The uncomfortable truth is that the kinky disgusting sexual stuff, the "golden showers" stuff, is not that far-fetched if you consider the many manifestations of sexual perversions that trump has talked about on the air - whether it's on his multiple appearances on Howard Stern's show, or gossiping with Billy Bush inside a mobile dressing room where there were live mics. And remember, he and Billy Bush were already mic'd up inside there, while the camera crew was setting up the shot outside there, with the pretty actress approaching and greeting trump and Bush as they climbed down out of the trailer. Part of the action started AS they were disembarking from the trailer, they were already live, talking, and the cameras were rolling. So it wasn't as though things were set up that they got mic'd up once they disembarked and the shot was then set up. They were "live" STARTING FROM INSIDE. So tape was already rolling. And it didn't end up on the cutting room floor.

This is not that big a leap when you consider trump has bragged about "grab 'em by the pussy" and how he could just stroll right into the dressing room where TEENAGE beauty pageant contestants, many of them UNDER-AGE - like as young as 15 years old, were changing clothes and thus in various states of undress. Indeed, some were naked. So he simply lets himself in, with guests, showing off because he's the owner of the pageant and he can do shit like this, I guess - surveying the naked young women he also thereby "owns."

It's not all that farfetched that he'd want to defile a bed that the hated Obamas had slept in - since his long-running disrespect of President Obama is VERY well-documented. And we all know disgracefully well how thin-skinned and vindictive he is. And how he's bragged about getting revenge, and has his own enemies list. This is all very well-established, and in the public record.

So it's not all that outlandish even as speculation. I'm not a bit surprised. And I'm not ready to rule it out as "fake news."

Full disclosure: I am rather negatively pre-disposed toward The Donald. So I will be more willing to take these reports seriously, knowing the background and the context. But there's also the matter of how widely-known and widely-accepted it also is that the Russians tend to bug hotel rooms, and ol' Vlad was a former KGB chief and has all kinds of dirty-trick stuff and sneaky-ass stuff up both his sleeves. Besides, I'm long retired from the news business so I don't have to be objective anymore!

And you can bet EVERY news department at every big outfit is busy out there right now, trying like hell to confirm this stuff independently.

7. From the WSJ article

The dossier consists of a series of unsigned memos that appear to have been written between June and December 2016. Beyond creating the document, Mr. Steele also came up with a plan to get the information to law-enforcement officials in the U.S. and Europe, including the F.B.I., according to a person familiar with the matter.

http://www.wsj.com/articles/christopher-steele-ex-british-intelligence-officer-said-to-have-prepared-dossier-on-trump-1484162553

This explains how the FBI got the memos in the first place.

Remember Reid's letter to Comey in August? That was about the info in these memos.

McCain gave his copy to Comey in December, which included info which was gathered after Reid's letter.
