House science chairman: 'Get your news directly from the president'

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)The chairman of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee is asking Americans to trust the information they get from the President over the news produced by the media.

Republican Rep. Lamar Smith saluted President Donald Trump from the floor of the House on Tuesday evening, rattling off his first-week accomplishments but saying Trump is not getting the press coverage he deserves.

"The national liberal media won't print that, or air it or post it," Smith said. "Better to get your news directly from the President. In fact, it might be the only way to get the unvarnished truth."

Trump has been called out for highlighting falsehoods and conspiracy theories during his political career and has repeatedly attacked the mainstream press as pushing "fake news."

is total BS

"The national liberal media won't print that, or air it or post it," Smith said. "Better to get your news directly from the President. In fact, it might be the only way to get the unvarnished truth."

First the news is not Liberal anymore. What the hell is the "national liberal media"

Second: "the unvarnished truth" that is total BS. He is a fucking con artist, and to trust him. That is total BS.

tRump is unfit for the office and likes to take revenge. I will never bow down to a jerk like this who assaults women and thinks he all that. Not my pResident.

He is unstable and needs to be removed.

intentional bad policy by our political leaders, but one of the things that Trump does for us all is activate dormant forces. People who were passive or inactive in the passed are now engaged. This counterforce will ultimately be a positive if Trump doesn't blow us all up first.

We knew this was coming. "The media lies..", "The media is intentionally giving me bad press"..."You can't trust the lying media"...now these GOP fuckers are all in on building up the "Dear Leader" as the sole source for truth! It's astounding and frightening.

Despite having absolute zero scientific background this cheeto hued grade z asshole psychotically cannot differentiate between his insane delusions of grandeur and cold empirical reality about even the most banal subjects, let alone begin to fathom or communicate anything that requires ahigher ordered thinking beyond that of slime mold. Of course that level of Jim Jones style brain dead cultism is favored by his pod people, orange koolaid drinking followers, so they will be happy to suck down whatever insane "scientific" information he tweetbleats like bad meth mixed with frack water.

It could be substantial. They have been conditioned and brainwashed for years, decades now. Both to demonize Hillary, and to fall in love with the reality star that "tells it like it is" and will bring back all the well paid manufacturing jobs etc.

So I think many Trumpeteers will take him up on that. Whatever Dear Leader says is the truth no matter what the "national liberal media" tries to say or back it up with their fake news 'facts'.

And if Faux News plays along he'll have the largest media empire also echoing his insanity. As well as Rush and the hate radio brigade.

So this is not the joke it seems.

Kinda how we laughed at the possibility of Twitler getting elected. Supporting good journalism is going to be critical. I'm not so worried about the fools who voted for him as much as I am about reaching the ones who didn't bother to vote at all.

Nyet. Many Americans died for shit like this to not happen. You are a disgrace. Maybe I should tweet to him and tell him he is as bad as someone during the third Reich. And I am not being hyperbolic.

This makes my blood boil as much as anything I've read. I wouldn't want anything directly from only ONE person. Period. Especially someone with power over life and death. We have become a nation of imbeciles.
