(24,801 posts)and how she portrayed independent women in her TV roles. I'm simply providing a truth of her later years. Has nothing to do with decorum. It has to do with being honest.
SticksnStones
(2,108 posts)It's just in terribly bad taste.
There are many battles to fight. A little class on the day the woman died is warranted.
stopbush
(24,801 posts)Terribly bad taste is failing to a knowledge something about her that she was quite open about.
Methinks you've got things backwards.
Perhaps you'll find it to be in good taste if Fox News goes on about her being a fan of their bcasts without mentioning the "distasteful" fact that earlier in her life she was openly a feminist.

(2,108 posts)Why you hating on MTM?
Pick and choose to your battles.
Going on with this is pointless. I believe we hold varying definitions of decorum. That's cool.

I get that.

(14,711 posts)I sent it to my beautiful, healthy 19 year old daughter. I doubt she ever saw MTM on TV, but she has been Type 1 diabetic since she was 5 and knew her as the spokesperson for the Juvenile Diabetes Reasearch Foundation. Since diabetics live on average 7 years less than non-diabetics, it was nice to point out that she was vibrant and engaged until 80.
Of course, if Trump gets his way with overturning Obamacare....
But, thanks for the laughs, the class and for what you did for the two million people who live with T1 diabetes everyday.
