George W. Bush: ‘Eight years was awesome’
Source: Politico
In case there was any doubt, George W. Bush made it abundantly clear in a recent interview that although it was awesome being president for eight years, he doesnt miss life in political office.
Eight years was awesome and I was famous and I was powerful, Bush told the Hoover Institutes Peter Robinson. But I have no desire for fame and power anymore.
I crawled out of the swamp and Im not crawling back in.

(5,436 posts)According to the sheep voters, Bush was a flaming Liberal! That's why so many of the repigs "changed" to teabagger, liebertarian, or independent.
Don't worry, however, they will all be voting straight repig in 2012 so as not to break their 100% "vote to destroy America" historical record.

Bush's best moment in office? Reeling in big perch
BERLIN, May 7, 2006 (Reuters) -- U.S. President George W. Bush told a German newspaper his best moment in more than five years in office was catching a big perch in his own lake. "You know, I've experienced many great moments and it's hard to name the best," Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001. "I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake," he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday. (Source)

(1,151 posts)This man is an embarrassment to me as an American. He is a disgrace. That the teabaggers still adore him is proof that they do not accept reality. Perhaps a sanity test should be invoked as a barrier to voting for people who cannot understand acceptable behaviour. In case you doubt my premise, remember the law is based on acceptable behaviour and under that definition, W is a criminal.
I am very disappointed in my country. I am saddened that there are apparently some 65 million eligible voters who suffer from a lack of understanding. Are they ill? have they been left out of the free public education they were guaranteed ?Brainwashed by some church cult? Taught to hate and frightened into delusion?
Have we no shame?

(14,315 posts)Even when the towers came down eight months in? The largest terrorist attack ever on American soil. An event that happened despite months of warnings and after being briefed about the threat of al Qaeda from Richard Clarke and others during the transition from Clinton. Months that Bush broke the record for taking the most vacation days ever for a sitting President
Seriously?...he doesn't even have the brain cells to at least PRETEND to show a little awareness, some humility by pointing out at least the one exception to the Hee Haw Good Times? Lifes a bitch without handlers. He never did once what Clarke did, and that is apologize to the American People on his administration's behalf for this happening under their watch and that they should have done a better job. Even if they HAD done all they could to prevent it...its about leadership. Instead they actually had the balls to turn around the stamp of his presidency to "keepin us safe" (not like those Dems). Amazing what a compliant news media will get you.
He was an AWOL Chickenhawk goofball aristocrat that felt he won the lottery when he was chosen as the front man for all the evil workings of lies, wars, and wiretaps directed by CheneyCo behind the scenes. IMO they may not have planned and executed the attacks on 9/11 but they facilitated everything along the way. All the official emails were destroyed "accidentally" for months before so we'll never know how exactly. That's the real reason that little sociopath is so happy. He thinks hes the big hero of the .01%, because he was the big Decider in Chief over one of the biggest orchestrated Disaster Capitalism plunders in US history.
