GOP leader apologizes for tweeting: 'Time for another Kent State'

Source: Detroit Free Press

Published 6:49 p.m. ET Feb. 5, 2017

A county Republican leader in the Upper Peninsula is under fire for seeming to suggest in his social media posts there should be a Kent State type of crackdown on violent protests like the one that erupted at a university in California last week.

But in an interview Sunday with the Free Press, Dan Adamini, the secretary of the Marquette County Republican Party, said he apologizes, supports peace and was merely trying to prevent further violence and hatred.

<snip>

Adamini, 56, tweeted Thursday after violent disturbances at the University of California-Berkleyshut down plans for a senior editor at the far-right website Breitbart to speak on campus.

Violent protesters who shut down free speech? Time for another Kent State perhaps. One bullet stops a lot of thuggery," Adamini tweeted.

He's too much of a fucking coward to ever actually attack a protester himself, but he'll gladly encourage others to do it.

My Facebook is turning up with more and more unhinged, violence-promoting entries from the hyper-conservative types. Look for more and more of this stuff to appear, as the right-wingers understand how trump is a catastrophe for their movement. Be ready to take advantage of opportunities.

I spent some of my Saturday writing emails to AARP (he's listed on their site) that I'm cancelling my membership along with my son's and our businesses if they don't drop his advertising, his station owners and all the sponsors of his little radio show asome well as the GOP chairs of his county (not that I think they'll care). Plus I emailed him a nice note saying best of luck picking up the pieces of your life since your tweets went viral. His whole twitter was filled with BS.

did you ever, think about the four families losing there children by national guard.

Did you serve in the military ?

Did you have friends comeback in body bags from Vietnam?

Did you think that men were being "drafted" while you were at home playing with yourself, so people like your RatF**k current leader got a bunion on his toe and hid and got deferments, and "we the other's" that didn't have a silver spoon in our mouths couldn't "vote" and were being used as fodder.

Do you fully understand that your self serving apology is not accepted, people/ human beings "died" because they couldn't vote, but could and did get drafted based on the military industrialized complex of greed and lie, and a corrupt "President"
and a corrupt Ohio governor

If you want peace let the people vote in your state, you can start there

And by the way since your are trying to have it both ways-------------------FU again

It is at least in part one. I would like to see him chastised by members of law enforcement and the members of his party that claim to so strongly support the Constitution and Law and Order. This nonsense needs to stop and stop now.

Will they bring a tweet to a machete fight? Guys like this lowlife should watch what they advocate. Right wing nuts are not the only ones with guns these days, and right wing politicians like this idiot made sure of it.
