Navy secretary nominee to withdraw: report
Source: MSN/The Hill
Philip Bilden, President Trump's pick to lead the Navy, is expected to withdraw his nomination, according to multiple reports Sunday night.
The investor's vast financial holdings, many of which he earned in Hong Kong, would make it tough for him to survive the scrutiny of the Office of Government Ethics, USNI News reported.
His formal withdrawal could come as soon as Sunday, Politico reported.
Two other Trump nominees, Army Secretary choice Vincent Viola and Labor nominee Andy Puzder, both removed themselves from consideration in recent weeks.

(18,652 posts)Trump has dumped some (a lot?) of good Obama people in fed agencies or they left on their own, leaving King Dump with lots of vacancies. This has real life consequences in terms of running the ship of state. I hope SS Trump goes down soon but not the good ship USA due to the stooges running things while good people leave.

Has he left his house yet to go to work?

How about making him Secretary of the Army?
After all, he did 'win' a full scholarship to West Point.

The White House on Saturday denied a report that its pick to become Secretary of the Navy was on the verge of withdrawing his nomination.
CBS News reported Saturday, citing two unnamed sources close to the situation, that Philip Bilden was likely to withdraw his name from nomination as Navy Secretary.
But shortly after CBS News' Major Garrett first tweeted the news, White House press secretary Sean Spicer called it wrong and said Bilden would become Navy Secretary pending the Senate's confirmation.
Bilden, a financier and former Army reservist with little direct experience in the Navy aside from his service on the Naval Academy board and donations to the U.S. Naval Institute, CBS noted has reportedly found it difficult to divorce himself from his financial interests.
