Trump Tweets To Call For Investigation Into Pelosi's 'Close Ties' To Russia

Source: Talking Points Memo

By KRISTIN SALAKY Published MARCH 3, 2017, 4:06 PM EDT

Another tweet, another call for an investigation.

President Donald Trump on Friday afternoon called for an investigation of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and her "ties" to Russia, just hours after suggesting the same for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

I hearby demand a second investigation, after Schumer, of Pelosi for her close ties to Russia, and lying about it. https://t.co/qCDljfF3wN

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 3, 2017

Trump's tweet included a link to a Politico story, which fact-checked Pelosi's claim that she had never met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The outlet pointed out the two are seen in a photo together. Her spokesman later told the outlet she was referring to a "one-on-one" meeting with him.

This is the second Democratic leader Trump has tweeted about in regard to Russia. Earlier in the afternoon he called for an investigation of Schumer for a 2003 photo of he and Russian President Vladimir Putin meeting.

His distractions don't work so well these days. We will now go into the week-end with Jeff Sessions on the hook for perjury, and Trump interfering with the RNC platform to go easy on Russian intrusion into the Ukraine.

the Tax returns from the IRS, and they WILL demand to see the FBI investigation data.

However, I just heard a Malcolm Nance interview from yesterday in which he said that the information being gathered by the FBI is of a counterintelligence nature: they are looking at individuals within the Trump circle who are or may be Russian spies. If that's true, says Nance, the FBI will NOT surrender that information voluntarily, because sources and methods will almost certainly be exposed.

For myself, It's difficult to trust anything that the FBI says, especially after the HRC deal. I don't trust anything beginning or ending with "Comey." But that's just me...

I grew up with a narcissist. It was, and still is, common for her to accuse someone she has wronged of doing what she has done. If you don't beat her to the punch, she will get away with it.

I think trump's days of getting away with it may be numbered.

Trump's tweets aren't news, they aren't fake news, they're nothing.

Don't read them, don't re-tweet them, don't comment on them.
If everybody does that, he'll stop.

Only thing that matters is what he DOES, not what he tweets.

To the tired tactic of "the best defense is an offense"...

I've seen him even launch an attack on a political opponent for exactly the same crap that he knows he will shortly be accused, because he's so very hugely guilty.

It's all consistent with his well proven track record of suing others who disagree with him.

He's a disgusting petty con man.

The Orangutan might need to be reminded that it was He who claimed no one connected with his campaign had been in contact with the Russians. He lied. Sessions lied under oath, which makes it a felony. Pelosi didn't claim anything about meeting the Russians, nor did she testify under oath. That's the difference. Trump lied. And Sessions lied under oath. Both of them are part of a massive cover up and probably guilty of Treason. Pelosi had nothing to gain by meeting the Russian ambassador, and Trump did.
