President Donald Trumps personal lawyer warned Joe Scarborough that he better have proof to back up the claim that Trump himself leaked his tax returns to the journalist David Cay Johnston.
Michael Cohen, a longtime Trump associate and fixture on cable television, warned the MSNBC host after Scarborough said Trump had "cherry picked" a return to leak in order "to distract from Russia hearings and the Trumpcare meltdown."
Scarborough known in the past for his connections to Trumps inner circle, and to the President himself made the charge on his on his Twitter account Wednesday:

He knows a majority of americans have seen seen the truth about the ameriKKKans posing as our leaders and his ratings are going to suffer IF he doesn't throw those who watch him a bone. It is, at least today, a bottom tier law school. Per Wikipedia: According to Cooley's ABA required disclosures, only 27.4% of graduates from the class of 2015 obtained full time, long term, bar passage required employment 9 months after graduation. 23.8% of graduates were unemployed 9 months after graduation. Only 51.86% of graduates managed to pass a state bar exam in 2015, a requirement to practice law. Cooley's bar passage rates have averaged about 20% less than the state average pass rates. According to Law School Transparency, Cooley is considered one of the most at-risk law schools for exploiting students for tuition (remind anyone of Trump U?). And one law professor described Cooley's 2015 entering class as "statistically the worst entering class of law students in the history of American legal education at an ABA-Accredited law school."

(12,448 posts)there's a good chance Dump may have leaked it himself. Johnston has been reporting on Dump for years and says he often "leaks" about himself if he believes it will benefit him.
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/14/trump-may-have-leaked-his-own-tax-return-award-winning-journalist-says.html
The benefit here, of course, is twofold: It's an innocuous tax return that's far from complete, and DISTRACTION.
