Federal Landlord Rules Trump's DC Hotel Doesn't Violate Lease Terms

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ALLEGRA KIRKLAND Published MARCH 23, 2017, 3:09 PM EDT

The federal government agency that owns the building housing President Donald Trump’s Washington, D.C. hotel has determined that it does not violate the terms of its lease.

The General Services Administration’s ruling comes as a huge blow for watchdog groups and Democrats who've charged that Trump’s presidency put his company in breach of the lease, which states that an elected official may not be involved with or benefit from the agreement.

official when it was signed thus its hard to argue that he was breaking the terms.
Now if it had said "No elected official of the Government of the United States nor anyone that becomes an elected official of the Government of the United States" a challenge would have prevailed.

Trump picks leader for federal agency overseeing his D.C. hotel
The White House booted the agency’s designee for his own choice within eight hours.

Shortly after Trump’s inauguration, an Obama-appointed General Services Administration official named Norman Dong became acting administrator, according to an agency email obtained by POLITICO. Seven and a half hours later, Trump replaced Dong with Tim Horne a Denver-based GSA official who had coordinated the agency’s transition with the Trump team, a second email showed.

Federal properties in the future.

Breath-takingly corrupt... Especially, considering the questionable loans from foreign banks Trump owes on it.

What is the GSA going to do when Trump declares bankruptcy on his D.C. property, especially when he used it as collateral to get his loan from a bank in Germany?

The only way that Trump won this has everything to do with him putting his flunky into a position to rule in his favor, especially when you consider that Trump violated the contract with the GSA from the very beginning!
