(17,335 posts)Neither Ryan nor McConnell understand - yet - that Trump could give a rat's patootie about them. Trump is in it to enrich himself and his family and cut taxes for himself and his class.
Trump has already set Ryan up as the fall guy with yesterday's comments about regretting doing the repeal first.
These GOP reps are being asked to walk the plank for basically nothing. Despite going for Trump, Penna is still a fairly centrist state. The rw'ers like Kelly and Barletta will vote for it, but the Rs in south central and SE Pennsylvania aren't going to want a vote to take away medicaid from someone's mom or dad in a nursing home or essential benefits like ER care. For them, this is a potential career-ending vote.
