Romney adviser touts candidate’s Anglo-Saxon heritage
By Eric W. Dolan
Tuesday, July 24, 2012 23:47 EDT

An adviser for Mitt Romney on Tuesday said the Republican presidential candidate would have better relations with England because of his Anglo-Saxon ancestors.

Romney has planned a six-day overseas tour to meet high-ranking officials in England, Israel and Poland. The tour begins Wednesday in London.

“We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he (Romney) feels that the special relationship is special,” the adviser told London’s Daily Telegraph. “The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have.”

President Barack Obama’s father was from Kenya and his mother was an American with mostly English ancestry.

Half of me is clapping my hands and saying that if they keep talking, they may just kill themselves off for decades.

The other half reminds the first half that four out of ten Americans actually believe that horse-poo, and they have a better chance of making it to a voting machine than those who would vote against them.

We need to work on the second half of that. Why can no authority establish the trust right-wingers require and then offer rational solutions to our problems? Because forty percent of Americans cannot even define "rational."

SPAM and all the lend-lease and other aid we sent them.

They were the only country that paid up, and they made their last payment only a few years ago. You have to respect their diligence, but IMHO we should have halved what they owed us, at least.

The Brits spilled much blood on the Continent and survived the Blitz before we entered the war. That should have counted for something.

The advisers could not give detailed examples of how policy towards Britain would differ under Mr Romney. One conceded that on the European crisis: “I’m not sure what our policy response is.”

"Durrrrrrrrr...I dunno."

And get this:

The advisers spoke on the condition of anonymity because Mr Romney’s campaign requested that they not criticise the President to foreign media.

Sure sounds like they're criticizing the President to foreign media to me. But they're anonymous so it's okay...

From here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_of_Barack_Obama

The family of Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States of America, is made up of people of African American, English, Kenyan (Luo), and Irish heritage...

And further, his white Anglo-Saxon mother's history:

Ann Dunham
Mother of Barack Obama born in 1942, died in 1995. Born Stanley Ann Dunham, she was an American anthropologist who specialized in economic anthropology and rural development. She earned her PhD from the University of Hawaii and worked with the United States Agency for International Development, the Ford Foundation, and Women's World Banking, to promote the use of microcredit in order to combat global poverty.[22][27] The Ann Dunham Soetoro Endowment in the Anthropology Department at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and the Ann Dunham Soetoro Graduate Fellowships at the East–West Center (EWC) in Honolulu, Hawaii are named in her honor.[28] Obama refers to his mother as the dominant figure in his formative years. "The values she taught me continue to be my touchstone when it comes to how I go about the world of politics."[29]
