Carter Page maintained his argument Thursday that he had been placed under investigation by the FBI for his criticisms of the American government during the Obama administration, calling it the most horrendous civil rights violation in recent U.S. election history.
The former foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign though both Page and members of the campaign have attempted to distance themselves from each other made the charge in an interview with CNNs Chris Cuomo Thursday.
Cuomo asked Page why, unlike even the conspiracy-prone President of the United States, he did not accept the conclusions of the intelligence community that Russia interfered in the 2016 election.
Chris, the main reason is the fact that I have been the victim of one of the most horrendous civil rights violations in recent U.S. election history, Page said. He referenced former President Barack Obamas recent remarks at the University of Chicago, in which Obama urged students to get involved in public life.

(24,703 posts)and you and him decided to do exactly what? Play some f***ing checkers with a foreign state called the Ukraine, and that you would get sanctions lifted, and your handlers said they will help get your boss elected, does that scenario come to mind ass****, and then you told your sexual predator boss exactly what about that meeting, you committed TREASON, the scant evidence that we the public has seen and heard points to this fact. And guess what there are about four to five others that are in the same boat, tow lied to a senate confirmation hearing and one so far has been fired from the NSC, that is a big deal in my eyes.
Your f***ing civil rights ass**** are protected ass**** in this country and we have laws to protect you, but if you break them then you are f***ed, so go a cry somewhere else.
Have you seen what civil right are like in Russia lately, they throw people out of four story buildings, and they murder you, if you are the opposition to the crime agenda in that country dick head.
Your treason is not protected, and the only one that can forgive you AND that protection if you are indicted for this TREASON is the same "guy' in the white house that more than likely also committed TREASON----------------------so f*** you.

(45,466 posts)-the standard Republican response to Patriot act and other surveillance on Americans.
In this case, it sounds like the FBI did have probable cause. If there was a warrant then a judge must have signed off on it. If not, then why do Republicans want warrantless wiretapping so badly?
Or we are supposed to believe that Obama was such a socialist dictator that he ordered the FBI to harass innocent Republicans and apparently release letters about Hillary's emails just in time to tip the election to Trump.
