DeVos to give commencement speech at historically black university

By Mallory Shelbourne - 05/01/17 10:09 PM EDT

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos will give the commencement speech at Bethune-Cookman University, the historically black establishment said.

DeVos will speak at the school’s commencement ceremony on May 10 on its campus in Daytona Beach, Fla.

“Much like Dr. Bethune, Founder of Bethune-Cookman University, Secretary DeVos deems the importance of opportunity and hope for students to receive an exceptional education experience,” the university said in a press release.
....

The speech comes several months after DeVos faced criticism for connecting school choice, one of her key policy stances, with historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Some people never learn. But then historically, we had those in our midst who didn't learn either during the time when our ancestors had been enslaved.

The first choice must have canceled. All I know is what I saw in the article.

Good morning.

seriously, her presence would spoil what is supposed to be a celebration of a great achievement. The woman is that revolting.
