Trump 'planning smear campaign' against Sally Yates while she testifies against administration
Source: The Independent
Donald Trump's administration reportedly planned to smear former deputy attorney general Sally Yates ahead of her testimony before a Senate subcommittee on his presidential campaigns ties to Russia.
Ms Yates will give evidence about alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.
James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence in Barack Obamas Administration will also testify.
The White House planned on branding Ms Yates a Democratic operative intent on sabotaging Mr Trump, who was willing to twist facts, news website Axios reported.

But for Trump, every day in power is a small victory. So delay and obfuscation is a good strategy.

usually filled with rabid right wing bias. That appears on first pass to be not holding on this story, which may signal a change in perception

It was different "people" all saying approximately the same thing under different fake names, apparently agreeing with each other.
Apparently disagreeing with anybody who wrote anything slightly "liberal" sounding, pro-Hillary or pro-Democratic.
Those Russian bots are mostly gone now, or at least zombies until the next election. God they were awful though.
