(29,534 posts)If he means it's going to have a sworn statement certifying he had no ties to Russia, I'm kind of curious as to what kind of law firm he's hired to do this.

(52,996 posts)When a sovereign citizen sends his forms to the government explaining that they're not going to pay taxes or hold a driver's license ever again, they always send them by certified mail. Trump apparently thinks this works.

(9,426 posts)Are they all Russia free, also? Both dumb sons have bragged about all the Russian $$$ pouring into their business. Now, it was fake??

Remembering that this is what Trump is, will help you filter anything he says from now on.

(52,996 posts)Here's an example of what I was talking about:
This guy is sending total bullshit through the mails...but he believes that by sending said total bullshit Certified Mail, it magically becomes valid.

(4,033 posts)he'll just get that law firm to send a certified letter saying he didn't do it.

(3,333 posts)Could a law firm have been hired to do a financial forensic analysis that they "certify" confirms that Trump has no financial ties to Russia?
I'm just trying to make some sense of this. And if so, what kind of firm would do this kind of "work" for the POTUS?

(5,807 posts)doesn't mean anything, just that someone signs that the letter was received. How about testifying under oath, and have Ivanka and Jared do that also, since they are now federal employees (I think).

(15,696 posts)Trump is pissed because he has gone to great lengths to set up go-betweens like that bank and those casinos and hotels, so that no one can claim he's directly involved with any Russians.
Thank goodness, he's a dumb shit. Were he actually intelligent, we'd really be in trouble!

(40,915 posts)Trump started his Presidency by lying before God with his hand on the Bible.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

(13,598 posts)He could have sent a certified letter saying "I am not a crook" and that would have ended the whole thing. Poor schlub.

(409 posts)now been certified by a team of lawyers that Trump doesn't have any financial ties with Russia. Just another way to brainwash the masses in my opinion. Even though the letter will actually prove nothing at all, it will be enough for the average Joe Republicunt to feel Trump's been vindicated. They'll be falling over themselves to like/retweet/share the very thing that was created to help keep them misinformed.
