CBO to release estimate for House-passed version of the AHCA early in the week of May 22

Source: Congressional Budget Office

CBO and the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation are in the process of preparing a cost estimate for the House-passed version of the American Health Care Act. CBO anticipates being able to release that estimate early in the week of May 22 and will provide advance notice of the date and time of release before publishing it. CBO issued estimates for previous versions of the legislation on March 23 and March 13.

including probably being willing to throw away the filibuster rule for legislation in order to get it done. They have been given the OP's timeframe as notice. The GOP is apparently on a kamikaze course.

Do republicans really think America will roll over and just accept the end of health care as we know it? Do they think people will suddenly about face and write them thank you cards for destroying the lives of the old, the young, the poor, and everyone with a pre-existing condition?

Do they not understand they are sewing the seeds of their own destruction? Are they so confident in their ability (with the help of the Russians) to control the results of our elections? Personally I think there will be hell to pay.

The haves are painting the havenots into a desperate corner. The working poor can't afford food, rent or mortgage, car payments, health care. The filthy rich don't want to pay taxes, but refuse raising the minimum wage. The economic safety net doesn't just lend support to those who need it, but insures that desperation doesn't explode into long lines at the guillotine. The larger the divide between have and have nots, the closer to revolution we come. And if revolution comes, there aren't sides.

The years after WWII show that the planet can't sustain millions/billions of humans living large, but surely we can find a happy medium between crapping in a gold toilet and peeing on the street.

Let's become happy warriors of truth and hope we can help others see the game the obscenely rich are playing. Without a doubt - lives depend on it.
