Trump 'screamed' at national security adviser H.R. McMaster over comments to South Korea: Report

Source: Washington Examiner

National security adviser H.R. McMaster and President Trump clash in front of White House staff and the relationship between the two appears to be strained, according to a Bloomberg report. (snip)

However, multiple sources to the outlet said Trump was livid after reading McMaster called South Korean officials to say Trump's statement that the American ally would have to pay for a missile defense system wasn't official policy. The report said Trump "screamed" at McMaster on the phone for undermining him.

Trump has also complained about McMaster "undermining my policy" in front of his advisers and has decreased the amount of face time he's giving to McMaster.

It appears Trump is suffering from "buyer's remorse" over picking McMaster and even spoke to former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton about become McMaster's deputy. The idea was eventually scuttled.

Read more: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/trump-screamed-at-national-security-adviser-hr-mcmaster-over-comments-to-south-korea-report/article/2622437

So McMaster decided extortion was not good policy, and suffered accordingly.

There is no human source in the White House that I trust to tell the truth. Good senior officers will and do fall on the sword for the leadership, so even if Mattis himself is stating that and taking full responsibility, that may not be true.

My logic is this: Trump blames everyone else for anything that doesn't go his way, and takes credit for anything even remotely associated with him. He wanted to play with the SEALS, but when the mission turned, in his mind, it was never his idea, or his fault. Under normal circumstances, that raid would have been up for DoD or Congressional review, but we're far past normal circumstances, so it might not ever be clear how that raid came about, or who wanted or pushed it.

(My BIL served under Mattis, and I met him socially many years ago. My BIL would walk through every circle of hell for him, and I met a deeply thoughtful, insightful person who was then, and during his CENTCOM command, parsimonious with the lives he sent into battle. That raid, what we know of it, doesn't match his usual operational mode. But I couldn't tell you what doesn't match, because we're not being told.)

Almost every place I've ever worked there has been at least one CEO, CIO, CFO, etc who has a notoriously bad temper. IT dutifully replace their shattered phones, smashed keyboards, cracked monitors and dented laptops. Facilities fixes the holes in the walls and the broken furniture.

But somehow being an evil-tempered prick and throwing tantrums is a badge of honor for these fuckers.

the head of the FBI is supposed to serve as the president's personal Enforcer rather than as the director of an independent investigative and law enforcement agency whose loyalty and duty is to the law and the Constitution.

Oh, and by the way, Ann Coulter actually referred to Trump as the Emperor God on The View. Trump's cult on Reddit calls him the God-Emperor, so obviously she was riffing on that, but considering how worshipful she has been of him (remember the title of her book was In Trump We Trust!), I suspect she was not really joking, even if she invert the nouns in the title.

Wed May 10, 2017, 06:20 PM
May 2017

1. As a career military officer, he could shrug of the abuse. Drill sergeants are known for doing this kind of thing so why would a mentally unstable CiC be any different?

2. He could have resented the treatment, especially considering his rank and experience and since it was done in front of subordinates. It's obvious that the shitgibbon has no clue when it comes to the military, security, national defense, international relations, well shit everything, so he should have let McMaster do his job.

In either case, shitgibbon's behavior went way over the line. It's more proof that this country is in trouble.

i don't know how many times i've said this in the past year or so. but in all my life i never thought i would see my country come to this.
